Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread

Based on a tweeted image, the bot was able to help one reseller score 42 units of the RTX 3080 from Nvidia’s website before it went out of stock.

Pretty much confirms what we all know. Hopefully no one buys from any of these resellers.

What's the general consensus on Metro? Is Exodus an ok place to start? It's $16 on steam for the weekend.

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread

Subsistence is a good game especially for the price.

It's a survival type game but not from Zombies but rather from the elements, wildlife and AI "Hunters".
It's pretty in depth but mainly a lot of fun.
You (well I did) will die a few times but as long as you get back to your body in time you can retrieve any items you had on you.

takes a while to get settled and in a groove especially with food.

Currently rotating: Half Life ALYX, Subsistence, 7 Days to Die, PG2K21, Transport Fever 2, MS Flight Sim, Grounded and Railway Empire..

Every year I get more and more away from sports games and more into the simulations, survival and strategy games.
None of these are really graphic intensive (except MSFS) so I can still run things high end.
That's another reason I can wait a while before upgrading full scale.

Just have a lot more fun with these types of games in my "later' years lol

Want to grab Walking Dead Saints and Sinners VR but am waiting for a sale.
Just upgraded my third HDD from a 1 TB to a 4 TB..
Slowly adding things as they go on sale.
By end of year or Feburary'ish I hope to have MB/CPU and see where we're at with GPU situation.

I'd say it is only because I think it's the best one of the bunch.
$16.00 will probably make me grab it as I had it on PS4.
But then me being me.. moved on to another game.. etc

Think that's another reason I moved slowly to the sim and strategy games as they are easier to get back into after you leave for a while lol

Appreciate the response, Sky. I bought it yesterday, but thinking about saving it for winter after Cyberpunk. Just seems more fitting.

I also picked up RE2 & 3 and Hot Lava. I could not say no to Hot Lava haha.

I've got a bit in my STEAM wallet but can't decide on what to buy. Currently still playing other games so don't really need anything but.. sales always get me.
Recently restarted Wasteland 2 to play alongside my COOP of Wasteland 3 I have going.
Just need a few days off to get back into it.

Was able to score an RTX 3080 (EVGA XC3 with metal backplate) from EVGA's site on Tuesday. Came in today and this thing is a beast. It is able to handle everything I throw at at 1440p and not miss a beat. I averaged around 70FPS on the highest settings in the Red Dead benchmark at 1440p. Very impressed so far. Looking forward to Cyberpunk on my rig!

(Red Devil in the background) I will be giving my Red Devil 5700XT to my son

Has Horizon received any updates or fixes? The launch had mixed impressions and I haven't followed it.

                        Look up Hot Lava.

I read recently that HZD had a new patch to fix some crashes and graphical bugs. I don't remember if it gave a general state of the game after all the patches to date though.

What were the thermals like? I got mine today as well from EVGA on Tuesday. I can't test it yet as I'm still at work, but this bad boy has been sitting on my desk staring at me.PXL_20200924_180502494.jpeg

Hope to have a new MB and CPU this weekend.
Going to wait on a GPU as I don't really know what I want.. if any right now.
ASUS - ROG STRIX Z490-E with Intel - Core i7-10700K is what I'm looking at.

                                Until I change my mind.
