Video upload/capture questions.

1) Do you always have to save the last 15 minutes ?? Can you not just save the last 10 seconds (ie save a nice dunk on 2k).

2) Can you edit/shorten vids ? (i'm guessing no. I only see any option to re-name the file)

3) Why is there no sound ?

4) Can you take a screenshot of captured vid / (or only from live gameplay ?)

Not sure about the others, but I think #3 is a licensing issue because of the tracks that are on the game.

Yeah. Noticed that too. Wonder if it is a typo. Was thinking they would test this out on the PS4 to see how the streaming of PS3 games would work on the PS4. We shall see.

All of this is a yes. Well, not sure about #4 but considering you can take a snapshot whenever you want, you could theoretically snapshot the vid you are editing.

I wouldn't worry about #1 because the footage is there. You can do what you ask in #2 to find the dunk and shorten it.

I'm trying to remember if editing is in system settings or in the share button menu. I'll look or someone else can answer this part.

I'm gonna assume that Now will be available for PS3 and PS4. They might want to check how it functions on the actual PS3 hardware before making the next step.

If I buy the digital version of a game, do I need to be connected to the internet to play it after it is downloaded and installed?

Ok. Thanks for the help. I had an epic OT battle in 2k online last night (Raptors @ Nets) and I just recorded the whole 15 minutes, which was the 4th quarter and OT. But it has no sound which kinda sucks.

Anyways, in regards to recording just a small portion. Do you always record 15 minutes and then just go back and edit, or can I just initially record only a quick 10 second clip ?

From sony's perspective, no, but it really depends on what the game developers implement.

So i recently purchased a PS4 (it will be here tomorrow) so my question is do I need Playstation plus to get roster updates for games like NBA 2k14, Madden 25? (really just want to know for MLB 14 the show as I use the player/roster vault more often than not) Thanks in advance.

No, only need PS plus to PLAY online. Rosters, patches etc you can get.

You can double click the share button to start recording and click it again to end it at that point.

My guess is they've been working on this since before the PS4 OS went final so the PS3 stuff maybe ready to test first is all.
