Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Getting my 1.5 TB HDD tomorrow. Question, do you have to use a USB with the firmware update on it? Or can you just update from the internet via the PS4?
I don't really have any game saves that I want to keep either. I am pretty sure that the games I play online will be saved on the other side. Like Killzone and BF4. I could be wrong though.
The only thing you'd have to change for battlefield is setting up your settings again. Control layouts, preferences, audio settings, all of that is saved on the game save.

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Where did you redownload previous games you had installed on your factory HDD? The library in the Playstation Store? I just want to make sure and hit the ground running once I install the new HDD.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Actually, it might be just my library like you stated.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
How hard is this to add? The system has been out for almost 6 months. I have a feeling they told everyone they intended to add it "soon" to lessen the bad press about the missing feature before launch. Now that launch is over, its on the back burner.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I think it is a licensing thing, just trying to avoid paying a license for MP3 for 100% of the user base when a relative few would probably use it. That and because of Sony Music Unlimited.

Holy cluttered UI now. Anyway to organize Apps and games and such? I love how I can customize the home screen on the Wii U.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
FYI.....Regarding the upgrade and some HDTVs
Sony’s 1.7 update for the PlayStation 4 is not bug-free. Owners of various HDTVs have reported a flickering issue that has recently surfaced with the release of the new update. The solution is simple: go into the system’s Video Output settings and disable “Deep Color.” Doing so should stop the screen from flickering, if you are affected by this problem.

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I don't know if you can organize them, but they're listed by order played. So as you play the games you normally play, the other stuff will naturally slide back in the list.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Additional info regarding the new upgrade....Unfortunately, MP3 is not part of it. However,,,
Today Sony Computer Entertainment released the new 1.7 firmware update, and published the official patch notes. Turns out, though, that the notes aren’t really complete, and the update includes several stealthy changes that Sony did not list, including some very relevant ones, like the ability to log in a second user with the same DualShock 4 controller, as discovered by NeoGAF user Guymelef and others.

System: You can now log in with multiple users with a single DualShock 4 controller without logging out the others.

System: The “What’s New” menu now has timestamps.

System: The log-in screen won’t be displayed anymore when reconnecting the DS4.

System: When a game crashes you can now choose to attach a video clip in the error report and send it to Sony.

System: Added option to automatically send error reports to Sony.

System: HDCP has to be enabled in order to watch Blu-Ray movies.

System: Several options have been added to the Video Playback Settings menu.

Settings – Audio: You can now force the PS4 to output 5.1 channel audio over HDMI even if it detects 7.1 channel support.

Settings – Video: “Deep Color Output” added. It’s possible to set it to “off” and “automatic”.

Share: It’s now possible to upload multiple screenshots to Facebook at the same time.

Streaming: Comments/viewers notifications added when you are in a full screen streaming.

Streaming: You can now upload screenshots and video while broadcasting.

Streaming: You can now view comments without having to switch streaming modes.

Remote Play: The PS Vita won’t fail to connect to your PS4 anymore if you have USB devices like keyboards or similar connected to it.

In addition to the changes listed above, multiple users are reporting that the whole operating system is now faster, especially on the PSN storefront, on the trophies screen, on the “What’s New” section and during overall multitasking.
Finally, others are also mentioning that the bug that caused the “Share” button to record the wrong segment of footage has been corrected, and now it correctly records the latest fifteen minutes of gameplay.
