Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
PS4-Dedicated Portable Monitor Announced, Turns the Console into a Quasi-Laptop
Hori will be releasing their “Liquid Crystal Monitor 4″ for the Playstation 4 which will be priced for 32,184 yen (approximately $314). Essentially it is like having a somewhat portable system on the go (you will still need to plug into a socket though). The monitor’s max resolution is 1080p.
You simply attach the monitor onto the Playstation 4 and connect the HDMI cable to the screen then finally plug in the power supply to the wall. When you’re done using it you simply fold it over like if it was a laptop screen (I wouldn’t put it on my lap though if I were you).
No word of a release outside Japan as of yet.
Monitor Specs:
Size: 11 inches wide
External measurements: 279mm x 275; 8mm x 28mm (10.9in x 10.8in; .3 in x 1.1in)
Weight: 1.2 kg (2.6 lbs)
Full screen resolution: 1920×3 (RGB) x 1080
Display color: 18 bit color (262,144 colors)
Maximum brightness: 350cd/m2
Response time: 25ms TYP
Video input: HDMI x 2
Audio output: internal stereo speakers, 2 headphone jacks
Resolution: 480p, 720p, 1080i, 1080p
Power source: attached AC adaptor DC 12V/2A
Electricity usage: 24W maximum
Other: 250 mm (~10 in) HDMI cable

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Looking over PS4 release dates and besides NHL in August there is little I will be buying until 2015. Far Cry 4 for sure, maybe The Evil Within and that's it. I have a backlog of PS+ games as it is, and that will only continue to grow. So I'm not sweating the lack of titles that interest me.
2015 is shaping up nicely, though.
1. the last of us remastered (july 29th)
2. madden nfl 15 (august 26th)
3. middle-earth: shadow of mordor (october 7th)
4. the evil within (october 21)
5. assassin's creed: unity (october 28th)
6. far cry 4 (november 18th)
Overall, six games in six months but the highlight is that im buying the last four games in a six week span. This doesnt include psn and Indie games for ps4, xbox 360 games (abyss odyssey and the 360/ps3 version of assassin's creed) or me wanting to play assassin's creed IV: black flag and tomb raider on ps4 after already playing them on ps3 and 360 respectively. This also doesnt include me wanting to replay far cry 3 and playing assassin's creed II for the first time but im waiting for a 50% off sale for both games and their respective dlc.
2015 is going to blow away 2014 as I already have the following games on my list -
1. mad max
2. uncharted 4
3. tomb raider 2
4. lara croft 2
5. no man's sky
6. the witcher 3
7. the order: 1886
8. let it die
9. rainbow six: siege
10. the division
11. madden nfl 16
12. batman: arkham knight
13. assassin's creed 2015
14. bloodborne
15. metal gear solid V
Currently, 2015 looks like it will be the best year for ps4 as my lineup alone will be very difficult to surpass. Also, waiting to see how xbox one progresses and if there's a price drop for wii u.Comment

I gotta work on that. I still haven't even finished Watch Dogs or Tomb Raider (which I bought just a few weeks prior)."Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I also have family and work BUT I work 3 then 4 day weeks (12 hr shifts)
Easier in the winter to play as I'm not out golfing.
So in a nutshell I also don't have the time but it's the thought the games are out there and I don't have them lolJoshua:

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I didn't believe people until earlier this semester. I used to game 15 hours a week, or whatever I could. Now, I have barely turned on my PS3 since January. Teaching took over (alongside everything else I'm doing like coaching and getting my Master's, but still).Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Retail wise, I buy the games at launch thanks to my 20% gcu discount. I'm 35 and work an average of 30 hours a week. No wife and no kids. I have a girlfriend of over three years but her job doesnt allow a lot of time together. Add in the fact that she has her parents, older brother and older sister to help out and she's stretched thin to begin with. And she's Muslim. I'm not (not going to lie, im happy im not) and come Sunday, she has to fast for Ramadan so after I saw her earlier today, I wont be seeing her again until August which definitely sucks. Thankfully, work and games will keep me busy for July. Was hoping for an early July release for the last of us remastered but oh well. As for playing games, if im off, I can easily put in 8-12 hours. Also, I like to finish games as quickly as possible so I can get as much trade value as possible and to avoid a backlog for ps4.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
anyhow....im in the position of not buying until i have time to play...so what happens is that i seldom buy release date games, with the exception of NBA 2k14 since this is my first PS4 game. Usually NHL is on my day #1 acquisition but I didnt buy NHL14 because IMO, it would be a complete waste since EA is being sloppy in producing this game.
I guess my list for the rest of 2015:
1. Last of Us (PS4)
2. NHL 15* (if EA will not improve gameplay, i'll skip)
3. NBA 2k15* (if full of VC issues again, i'll skip)
