I was wondering how all of you guys were tearing up your joysticks and now I just discovered a rip on mine lol. It's probably from defending takedowns all of the time in UFC. I'll replace it eventually, but I'd love if I could just get official replacement grips for it.

Not OFFICAL, obviously. And there are other choicechoices out there; Kontrol Freek, Grip - it, etc. But u just ordered these from Amazon. Can't beat 10$ for 4 different pairs. Won't get to truly test them out since I only have TLoU at the moment but so far so good.

Has anybody downloaded any of the PLAY promo games? All I've played so far has been Swapper and have CounterSpy waiting to download.

Swapper is pretty fun if a bit trippy once you think through the mechanics. Very pretty art-style, too.

My replacement console is arriving today. So lets see if I was right and the first one was a total lemon in regards to it's connectivity issues to PSN.

It had to be as everything in my home connects...PS3 connects no issues. It had to be defective.

Good luck man. Sucks that it happened in the first place.

Geltabz at GameStop works best for me. Kontrol Freeks slipped off when I was playing UFC and the Show. Now they are little plastic relics of the past. I should bury them in my backyard lol.

PS3 PSN is different from the PS4 one. One can go down without affecting the other.

I understand that. But we trouble-shooted everything with Sony on the phone. My connection was perfect and working. They claimed the PSN network was online and working yet the PS4 would not connect me. I went thorugh this for 24 hours.

I even re-initialzed (a brand new console out of the box with nothing on it) and still nothing but the time out error messages trying to get into PSN.

So anyway it had to be defective in that regard.

Imagine getting home unwrapping your shiny new toy and it will not work. LOL. that was me this past weekend.

So I have little doubt it was a lemon. Everyone and their uncle was signing onto PS4 PSN with no issues. A friend of mine has the same internet service I do (Xfinity) and was signing in with zero issues.

The tech advisors (all three of them) had no explanation for me and said warranty repair is order.....I was like oh no...this is brand new I am calling Amazon. $400 bones and it does not function properly out of the box? Nope..you can fix it, I want a new one.

Thank goodness they shipped me out a new one no questions asked.

You're not alone. I skipped 2014 and hoping that they will improve in 15 and thinking that EA not releasing 14 in NG will give them enough time to bring the BLAST in NG like what they did in 2007 bringing in the skill stick. BUT IM WRONG!

Sure new presentation, crowds, uniform movement (i mean who cares about this especially when your playing the game, unless every 10 seconds you'll pause the game to see the replay and how the uniform reacts when a puck passes by or hit the uni), but that's nothing as compared to gameplay, AI etc.

I hope EA flunk on this one and replace RAM with another person who knows hockey and passionate about the game.

Out of curiosity: for those of us that own both a PS4 and a PS3, how many of you still actively play or buy games for the PS3?

Over the last few months, I've been playing through the Metal Gear series for the first time in story-chronological order. I just started playing MGS4 on my PS3 and realized that other than downloading Vita games, it's probably the first time I've even turned the thing on in months.

Over the last few months, I've been playing through the Metal Gear series for the first time in story-chronological order. I just started playing MGS4 on my PS3 and realized that other than downloading Vita games, it's probably the first time I've even turned the thing on in months.

I haven't touched my ps3 since I picked up my ps4 on launch day. Same with the 360. Between all the current systems and PC I haven't really felt the urge to play anything on the older systems.

Depends what you mean by "actively"...when a game shows up for the PS3 that I want that's exclusive to the platform, I get it.

Tales of Xillia 2 (released today) and Persona 5 (2015) are basically the reasons I still own the system - ESPECIALLY the latter. Plus I do still want to get FFXIII LR at some point during a sale.

For games that I can get on either of the other two Sony systems - PS4 or Vita - I'll pick one of those.

I can tell you with confidence I will continue to play my PS3. I still have to finish Skyrim which is a my all time favorite RPG, I just started Far Cry 3 and it is a total blast and I want to finish it because I pre-ordered Far Cry 4.

I went PS4 for the sports games first and foremost. And other than Far Cry 4 and Alien Isolation I will be playing Madden 15, The Show 14 and NBA 2K15 plenty.

I still have games on the PS3 I want to play. So I will be playing both systems for the next year. Probably this time next year I will be 95% PS4. My son though loves the PS3 and has plenty to play on it.

It's still a great system.

I still play all pro football 2k8, ufc undisputed 3, wipeout hd/fury, I could go on.

I still play with my ps3 mainly because I do rosters etc for ppl who don't have acess to the internet for for madden so I useally update them and then post so ppl can d/l them.


I don't useally buy a lot of games mainly just madden, wwe, uncharted.... but now since I made move and all these games will be available on ps4 i'll just let the wife use it when she feels urge to play games she likes then I can still play mine on the ps4.
