Target does not charge me $50 a year to go into their stores and shop

I did not give Sony huge issue last time since we did not pay for online service

Now they are so regardless of the excuses this is happening to Sony right now and we might have 2 days of no access

It will then affect Madden pre download

I think you're going a bit overboard here. Yeah PS+ is $50.00 a year and i would like to be able to sign on every day. However things like this attack happen so I can't blame Sony. So I've lost out on PSN for one whole day, I don't think I'll go after them for the $0.14 it cost me per day.

I only have five friends online so must be limited.

I saw you online playing Diablo, I had 8 friends showing. Still way too wonky, I'll wait till tomorrow.

It was up & I was on but I couldn't create a party.

I think point was made this isn't really hacking accounts but denying service, which I would bet my bottom dollar that no one hasn't experienced this before somewhere online. I look at it as a website being down and while I don't $50 a YEAR to those companies I do pay markup to pay for IT that "should" prevent it. Fact is, it's ridiculous to think that's even possible to be up and running 24/7 as a large multi billion business.

As far as actually compromising information. It sucks but in this day and age it's unavoidable unless you get physical checks to cash and never paid for anything online. I think all the companies I have put my info on all these years have done a pretty good job. The only times I've been ganked in my life was two car break ins, a car stolen, and some card cloning scheme from a restaurant all of which were not anything to do with online services.

A little frustrated about not being able to play NBA 2K but I'm sure the head of Sony Online is a little more freaked out in that the same group that took credit for knocking out PSN also said the American Airlines plane he was on was loaded with explosives diverting the flight. Happy to hear everyone landed safely though.

As much as stuff like this annoys us I don't have the same sense of entitlement as others seem to have. Yes it's frustrating, but with hackers and these people out there with the ability to compromise websites, programs, systems you can't necessarily fault companies when these problems arise. What's weird is some services work but not the games. I can still watch the WWE Network & see which friends are online but the Store and game networks are down.

And just because we pay for a subscription service doesn't mean we are guaranteed to have everything working at all times. I pay a cable bill but that doesn't guarantee that a problem can arise that prevents my cable from working at some point. It's not as if they are purposely shutting you out just for fun, then that would be different.
