Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I would disagree with this, otherwise why would Sony promote remote play with the vita and whatnot? If no disc game has to be digital and that wasn't the selling point they pushed when advertising that feature.PSN:LeftCoastGamer

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
The fiasco with update 2.00 is the only time that I've had any problems booting a system with a game already loaded in it, ever, and I've been gaming for 20+ years.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I never take the disc out of the system and haven't had a single issue. That goes all the way back to every disc based console I've owned.Comment

Discs can get stuck In consoles. Happened to me with the Fallout 3 on PS3. Had to get it sent back. Never left a disc in again. Now I am fully digital so only discs that go in my ps4 are blu Ray movies.

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Anyone still having issues after the update? Work up this morning with my orange light blinking again. I'm seriously considering going over to the other side.Favorite Teams:

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I can see that happening if you move the system with the disc in it but what happened with your PS3 just sounds like a malfunction of the system itself and nothing to do with leaving a disc in.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I've been having some trouble since the update also. Last night I put it into rest mode to charge the controller while we went to dinner, came back and it wouldnt power up and had the orange light. Held down the power button for a while and it came on and did some stuff and ran fine. Later NBA2k15 crashed so i went to the dash to close the application and it was takng forever and seemed as though it wouldnt close it. Eventually I tried to power off the system, the screen came up saying to to unplug while powering down and I walked away, came back a long while later to the same screen.
Makes me nervous to continue using it if this is going to keep happening.
If some of you are still running into this then the problem still exists. Sony may need another update.
Glad I just shut mine off, I've never experienced any of this stuff. Hope it gets sorted out for you standby guys.Comment

They can get stuck even if you just have it in there for a few minutes. It's a freak thing. I've never had it happen, but it has happened on computer drives. I'm not going to take out discs because of some slim chance.
Either way, most systems provide a way to manually get a disc out. PS4 supports this as well.
