The Show 17 will be my tipping point if they do it. Makes me wonder if I should get a cheap 4K TV on a Black Friday sale just incase.

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Yeah, this stuff is hard to wrap my head around sometimes. I posed this question to Rtings about my specific model and will wait to see what they say but I have a feeling someone's previous assumption is correct. The site was very confusing, to be honest. It only shows input lag for 1080p signals. Not sure why. There is one line there that says input lag outside of game mode is 118ms. I wonder if that would be the input lag in 4K mode then. Very confusing LOLOL

On a positive note, BF1 looks awesome and I read that they haven't even pushed out the 4K patch yet. Can't wait to see what it looks like after that.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
UHD is not to show 4k. The TV is 4k but his set with UHD on will cause high input lag. Turning off means no HDR but still a 4k resolution with low input lag
HDR is not made only for gaming is for TV watching in Blu ray and streamingComment

I expected there to be some issues and bumps in the road at the beginning. Sony is aware and I'm sure improvements are on the way"Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
They really should have targeted the 1080p/60 FPS crowd. 4K should've been an upscaling benefit only, or "last resort" kinds of upgrades if they could achieve the initial 1080p items first.Interesting article. Seems more games are performing worse on the Pro. Digital Foundry is all over it.

It's not too late for support to get shifted more in that direction moving forward"Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
You're not wrong. It's the developers that need to make this happen. I just hope the Pro is adequate for this support throughout. Bummed me out they didn't include this kind of option for Ratchet & Clank (those kinds of games really do need the 60 FPS treatment).
And when I said what I said about 1080p, I would be saying the same thing as a 4K owner. Upscaling would have been a really nice bonus for that, to me.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
That is not going to happen folks. Sony rather have nails stuck to their eye lids then have devs make games at 1080p 60fps when they touted the machine as a 4K console...How will it look if many games start coming out with native 1080p resolution just upscaled by the internal upscaler...TV's that are 4K already do that without having to buy a PRO...You're not wrong. It's the developers that need to make this happen. I just hope the Pro is adequate for this support throughout. Devs will have to fix the issue going forward but making 1080p 60fps as the standard will never happen... Not after what they advertisedComment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I'm in the same boat. I have a 2015 Vizio M series that doesn't support HDR. Nonetheless, the games that I've played (NBA 2K17, Ratchet and Clank, and Uncharted 4) look nothing short of spectacular. There is a noticeable difference. So much so that I am now leaning on getting all my new games on the Pro vs. the Xbox One.
You will not be disappointed.
Great to hear. I bought pro last night everything is downloading now. Can't wait to get done at work and check out 2K, Battlefield and FIFA.
