Not to mention how many titles nowadays have problems with their PC versions of games. If anything that would be an indication that many games are being developed with PS4/Xbox as the base and then porting over to PC.

Granted, I'm not a Master Race gamer at all, but it seems clear to me that a lot of the PC versions of games are treated as the red-headed stepchild.

Yup, consoles do the bigger numbers when it comes to sales/player base so they are the primary target. This doesn't occur across every game naturally because some games are developed for PC's first and foremost BUT that doesn't make it the "norm" how Daniel was trying to correct Uber.

Been a long time since I spent that much on a TV but if it's the best around for all round performance I'll invest.

It's available in the UK but has a £1550 price tag,and that's just the 55".

It looks like a 49" is also available,should be same specifications right?

Well that is always going to be the case....Name me one time where PC got exclusive deals with AAA games or had commercials saying PC

Sony and MS run gaming...PC is superior in terms of visuals for sure but console sales of games and consoles make console gaming the money maker and get all the ads

PC games still look better regardless but they will never reach potential because in business you do not upset the apple card.

PC is an open platform. Who's going to pay for the exclusive deal or the promotion? Microsoft owns the OS but they wouldn't leave behind Xbox. Nvidia paying for it and then having an exclusive over AMD would create massive outrage. The PC ecosystem doesn't operate like consoles so the comparisons don't apply.

It goes beyond just looks. Some games just play better and make more sense on PC. Just like some games play better with a controller.

True...Hey am not saying console games are better optimized or play or look better. They are just far more popular to the casual gamer over PC and that is something that cannot be denied. In a perfect world PC gaming is the only choice due to what it can offer

I have over 100 games on each of my PS4 and XB1, either purchased or downloaded using PS Plus/Games with Gold, not to mention I have a WiiU. I'd consider myself s hardcore gamer. And I want nothing to do with PC gaming. It's alot easier than ever to get into it but it's still way easier on console.

I'd drive myself nuts trying to keep up with the latest tech or trying to optimize my PC.

Where do you see experiences that 4K not worth it....That is B.S

PS4 Pro and Scorpio are not the main reason to get a 4K set

I'm not going to argue, its my opinion and "maybe" my personal justification to NOT going 4k right now but i'm not going to let you make me feel dumb in my little " justification reasoning" either...

But from what ive read and spoken to ppl is that 4k is VERY dependent on the source material and not the upscaler(which sony has the edge on samsung app.)

along with this and of course it becomes a discussion or a question of "where did you see this show me pics/proff and links" but lets just say ive been at it since the PRO was coming out and ever since its been released to get the most of of the information is in regards to how it performs WITH a 4k tv.

I srsly thought i was going to have to soon after take the plunger and force that money right down the drain.

Luckily time and patience made me waiver not to to the simple fact that all these games out now are having problems and that the pro in 1080p ON a 4k tv is actually better than the pros 4k into 4k as some games suffer from loss of detail going 4k (while that detail is oddly kept within 1080p?) and that the performance isnt as good framerate wise.

I mean its the same issue my nvidia card has. I tell it to supersample to 4k i run that game in 4k with my graphics card and it chugs...i run it in 1440p using supersampling and its better

The PRO is best used on a 4K set because that is where you will get the most value for your purchase.

If you stick with a 1080p tv and expect the PRO to work better then a PS4 vanilla then good luck with that because that will require all games to offer what Tomb Raider did and I am not sure all will do that.

Add Fallout 4 to the PS4 Pro list of games. Bethesda just said it is going to come in the next title update.

I hear you Tomba...Believe me I do.

But what I said about performance is fact from Digital Foundry.

The fact that the devs patched the games with no ability to lower resolution to meet the 1080p screens is what is causing the downscaling to hurt the FPS performance.

do you think the new toolscan that Sony will be providing all developers and mandating all developers to use will help?

I heard that from Dec on all developers(whether they like it not) will be forced to use it for pro so that ps4 pro players are not getting shafted as well?

The more you talk, the more you expose that you don't know what your are talking about. Witcher 3, Dragon Age, Dark Souls, many UBIsoft titles, and plenty more games are developed with console as the baseline. They don't develop a "PC version" then downgrade it so it runs well on the console. Instead they will develop to the medium, which in this case Xbox1/PS4 then PC will get same version. They don't suddenly unlock the games full potential and UPGRADE it for PC. It has happened but its surely isn't the norm, its far more likely to have the game developed with consoles in mind. I've suffered through my fair share of downgraded PC titles due to them being console focused. I'd much rather companies develop with the PC coming first then downgrading to consoles but that isn't going to happen.

Please stop acting as if you know about PC gaming. Its clear to see in your last several posts you have blinders on when it comes to anything outside of Sony.

I thought you were talking from a point of knowledge and a true understanding of consoles and programming for them, and I find out now that it's been based off of "what you think".
