MLB the Show 18 in 2018: 960 hours

MLB The Show 19 in 2019: 1008 hours

Last time I included a bit of a disclaimer that a portion of that time was probably idle/CPU vs CPU play, but I can't use that justification this time. I really didn't do as much CPU vs CPU stuff in '19 as in years past. So a very large percent of that 1008 hours is me actually playing the game. And I did play the HELL out of this game (and still do!)

It's a sports sweep of my top 3 with Madden 20 at 296 hours (albeit in a fairly short time frame given it's the late '19 release), and NHL 2019 at 162 hours (last year was a pretty big one for me with Hockey ).

Way better gaming year for me.

569 hours in 124 days.

Apex Legends got my most which surprised me at 65 hours.

WWE 2K19 is second at 49 hours.

Minecraft which really shocked me came in third at 35 hours.

Which means I split 420 hours between 14 other games? Seems crazy lol. About 30 hours a game if I just averaged them.

My gaming went way down compared to last year:

23 new games
1,668 hours = ~70 days

MLB the Show 18 - 113 hours
Fortnite - 103 hours
WWE 2K19 - 38 hours

13 hours consecutive in a session
179/365 days played
Wednesday was my prime day

My gaming was so down this year. Got too busy with moving, school, and tutoring. Most I played in any one game was about 30 hours.

I played 68 games
Top3: NBA 2k19 for 344 hours, NBA 2K20 for 166 hours, Show 19 for 121 hrs

I played 291 days of the year.

I had 2,893 hours logged, ZERO online. I am officially a dinosaur.

My longest gaming streak was 12 hours and I remember it was RE2 Remake.
I saved 40$.



I really enjoyed gaming last year. Honestly, I'm enjoying it more than ever these days between all the systems.

It would def be interesting if the PS4 came out first again this time and was the less powerful system like ps2/Xbox.

That would also make me sad though, lol. I enjoy graphics and how amazing PS3 exclusives look.

I had no idea that ps2 was less powerful then xbox or gamecub until just like 3-4 years ago lol. The difference must have been small because graphic wise all 3 systems that gen seemed the same.

My hours were down last year because in part my ps3 backlog and in part because switch had so many great games last year and there was not has many good games last year on ps4 has some other years. How ever when i see that some people played like 3000 hours or something i am kind of jealous because i known if i add my time up on different systems it wouldn't be that high last year. I don't have that much free time with trying to find a new job all the time and having no luck. With that said i only played like 303 hours on ps4 last year.

I played 26 games for a total of 662 hours. Three hours was my longest session. I can’t do the marathon sessions anymore.

Nah, I switched mid gen from ps2 to xbox and the difference was massive. Graphics wise, plus having a built in hard drive, and the broadband only online play at the time, hardware wise it was a major upgrade. PS2 had a much deeper library of games though.

The difference was very stark, indeed. Sports games really saw a massive uplift on the Xbox in comparison, and was really the only reason I ended up getting an Xbox (got the awesome green Halo edition and just bought some of the 2K games for it).

Not sure what happened during the PS3 age when cross-platform games had a hit on the PS3 whereas first-party games were glorious in comparison. Maybe it was working with the SPU's instead of a GPU, and the coding for a third-party title couldn't account for that the same way?
