Me too. Convex analog sticks ftw.

I think they need to fix the L2/R2 triggers for sure. The convex analog sticks are good, but I do not mind the concave ones from the 360 controller either.

I do hope the build quality goes back to the PS1 and PS2 DS controllers. I've had some sticky buttons and even the D-pad getting a little loose. I'm hoping for better build quality next gen.

I don't believe for one second it will be called the Omni, nor do I believe it will be launched in 2013.

Leaked system names never stick, and there are several very big first party titles still hitting the PS3 next year.

I've been saying it for quite a while... I believe we'll see the PS4 in the US in 2014 and no sooner.

I don't believe for one second it will be called the Omni, nor do I believe it will be launched in 2013.

Leaked system names never stick, and there are several very big first party titles still hitting the PS3 next year.

I've been saying it for quite a while... I believe we'll see the PS4 in the US in 2014 and no sooner.

It's going to be 2013. The source that reported it was also the one that leaked multiple game titles that hadn't even been announced yet. Also, I got an email through my company about the 2013 preview and there was a hidden console release for the fall season. This may be a new Xbox or even PS3, even though there's like 3 PS3's now. Either way, almost every report is that he PlayStation "Omni" is set to release fall 2013 and the next Xbox is releasing in 2014, but it'll also be more powerful.

I'd be surprised if it wasn't next year. Sony missed out last time, they really don't want to miss out on this. Also, expect the Vita to play a huge part in the new system. That will be Sony's way of matching what the Wii U does with certain games.

Honestly, I'm ready for a new system. The Wii U isn't it. Another thing to note, Activision mentioned they have a team working on the next gen MW4 game. Unless they plan on releasing MW4 when a possible Black Ops 3 title comes out, then it seems pretty conclusive.

Even my biggest 360 friends say they wouldn't resist on a Sony system if it launched a year before Xbox. It's what I did with the 360 when Sony didn't release. I didn't even own an Xbox and loved PS2.

It's Sony's way of matching how they named the Vita. I'm not sure I'm too crazy about it either but I don't know.

Yeah, I mean that's a part of why Sony needs to construct these themselves the next time. Maybe tilt them downward slightly and make them the natural trigger so that they are deeper into the controller. Boom. Doesn't need too much modification otherwise.

Then there's the question about the analog sticks. The 360 controllers have concave analog sticks, and PS3 has convex. Low and behold, I actually prefer convex here.

It would def be interesting if the PS4 came out first again this time and was the less powerful system like ps2/Xbox.

That would also make me sad though, lol. I enjoy graphics and how amazing PS3 exclusives look.

I did that for the PS3 for the same reason. However I'll need a lot more details this upcoming gen before making the leap. Even The Show wont trump $ or no backwards compatibility at launch.
Obviously I will get one eventually but will hopefully have enough strength to hold out.
That is null and void if we see some great games at launch. For me a lot depends on the developers more than the system.

Ready to see some real advancement in AI.

I say I won't get it, but I don't even know.

I don't feel like fighting to find one or paying the projected launch price.

I have a PS3 and 360 right now and I'm perfectly happy for a while.

I'll likely give game developers some time to work out kinks with the new systems and then pick one up about a year later.
