Rainbow Six has always been one of (if not the #1 spot) favorite series of mine, dating back to when I first played it on the Dreamcast.

I hope that series gets some major love with Rainbow Six: Patriots.

Speaking of that, when are they supposed to release it. There hasn't been nearly enough attention to something like that.

Sony needs a 3rd person shooter to rival Gears of War. That series is the one thing I'll miss about owning a Microsoft console. Spent a ton of time playing the first three online. Only shooter to ever really hold my interest.

No news on that yet, sadly. It sounds like they're completely re-working the plot and there's been really... no information updates since they said they were still working on it but changed it to the next-gen systems. They aren't even necessarily sticking to the "Patriots" name anymore.

Their Twitter for R6 games hasn't been updated in over a year or so, and the site still says R6: Patriots is for PC/360/PS3.

Pretty much the only news was that at Gamescom they said they want stuff to be perfect before they reveal anything about it.

Wow man, it could easily be another year or two before we sniff anything like this... That kind of a game is wide open and im not sure why someone won't jump in and start it back up again.

Anyone else gonna have UPS hold their shipment at one of their customer centers for pickup? Delivery to my house is usually around 1 or 2, but I've been waiting today and it's nearly 5 now. I've got the whole day off and I'll have my games ready and waiting, so I think it'll be worth it. It'll be almost an hour and a half round trip though.

The last NFS I bought was Underground 2. I loved everything about it except for Snoop Dogg's Riders on the Storm cover.

I've got the whole day off and I'll have my games ready and waiting, so I think it'll be worth it. It'll be almost an hour and a half round trip though.

Dont do it. This may have changed but a few years back UPS had a rule that it had to attempt delivery at your house once before it would hold it at the customer center. So that means UPS would have to attempt delivery on Friday and you would not be able to pick it up until Monday. This may have changed though.

Dont do it. This may have changed but a few years back UPS had a rule that it had to attempt delivery at your house once before it would hold it at the customer center. So that means UPS would have to attempt delivery on Friday and you would not be able to pick it up until Monday. This may have changed though.

Yup I vaguely remember something like that. Seems like UPS would just mess it up if I tried to do that. No thank you, especially when heading into a weekend.

Got my PTO approved. Taking a half day Friday just in case they deliver it early; UPS almost always delivers after 5 in my neighborhood. Then taking another half day Monday so I can sleep in after playing all night Sunday.

Yep, the way they explained it to me when I asked them to do that for me once was that by asking them to do that I am essentially just asking them to not leave it at my door on delivery date.

So it goes out on the truck that morning, they attempt to deliver it but when you aren't there they just keep it on the truck all day until they return in the evening after 6 of whatever it is.

I actually look forward to Rainbow Six again. I do hate that Ghost Recon took that COD like stance going forward but IMO the strategic shooters are always the best ones.

YES YES YES!!!!! I couldn't agree more...strategic shooters are not only better IMO but the kiddies and idiots tend to avoid that type of game (a bit more) which makes the online experience so much better!!
