Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
IGN guys at PAX demoed AC4 on PS4. They said to bring up the map, you hit the touchpad in the middle and can pinch to zoom and move the map around. This touchpad might be better utilized than most people realize.

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Same here...found it odd. Then researched, apparently Amazon is charging tax in NJ as of 7/1/13 since they opened a distribution center in the state. However I placed my order 6/11/13 so I will be in contact with amazon as the initial order did not include tax. Should be exempt on orders made prior to that date.

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I sold it with a game, two controllers, and the Sony remote for $180. Thought it was a pretty fair deal. The Slim was a few years old. Besides the ocassional game of The Show, I had used it sparingly over the last four months.PSN: sportdan30

PlayStation 4 Discussion
So I traded in my 360, wii, accessories and games towards the PS4 and got a 30% extra trade in bonus plus my card bonus and got about $320. Already had $100 on the reserve so I only owe some tax and I will be set.
I was torn on what to trade in, my 360 or PS3, however due to Beyond Two Souls releasing on PS3 and more of my friends getting Grand Theft Auto for PS3 and all the games I want for the 360 being released on the Xbone as well I just kept the PS3.PS4 Twitch: http://www.twitch.tv/candyman5os

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Time Splitters Rewind is in development for PS4. I always liked this series.
TimeSplitters Rewind, a collection of maps, weapons and characters from the three previous TimeSplitters titles in the series, is in development for PlayStation 4 systems by a team of around 35 part-time developers, project lead Michael Hubricka told CinemaBlend.
However, this doesn't mean the multiplayer title, which is powered by CryEngine 3, will necessary make it to retail. According to Hubricka, the development team is working to obtain approval from Crytek's legal department in order to release the game on Sony's console.
"We're actually going to go ahead and start development [of Timesplitters Rewind] on PlayStation 4. Just because we're pretty confident Crytek's going to say go ahead and do it. But we don't want them saying go ahead and do it when we're caught with our pants down and we're like halfway through development and [then] start something for the PlayStation 4," he said.
"So we decided that since they released the SDK to allow us to do this, we're going to go ahead and do it ourselves, and when they say 'yes' or 'no' we can decide what to do with that. For now we're just going to go ahead and do it. So at least we're prepared".
A playable alpha is slated for release later in the year. According to Hubicka, they team is roughly 20 percent done with the game, but plans on releasing playable parts as they become available, with characters, maps and weapons scheduled to arrive later on.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I haven't kept up much with the thread because of the size, and I'm a 360 owner converting to PS4 owner.
Is it true what the GS employee said that PS4 is HDMI only for AV? We have a TV that is about 7 yrs old and has only 1 HDMI plug-in and I use that for the Directv cable.
Will I need to go with component cable with the directv receiver and HDMI with the PS4?
Thank you.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
So I know the PS4 isn't backwards compatible with the PS3, which sucks because I still have a backlog of PS3 games, but what about backwards compatible with games we downloaded off the PSN? Those still won't work either on the PS4? I've got so many PS+ games downloaded, and once the PS4 comes out it would be nice to play them on that console.

I just don't see then giving free access to a bunch of games they more or less gave away in the waning years of this console generation.
Fully expect we will have to pay to play those games again either individually, or a monthly service fee. At best will be given them again as part of a new PS Plus on ps4.
