I canceled my Amazon preorder because there's nothing I want to play, now they have them up for sale again and I have that pull telling myself to go ahead and order it. Gonna resist though.

Very excited with the positive early reviews I'm hearing. Mine are out for delivery so I gotta wait til after work. I put a sign on my front door for the UPS guy to leave the boxes on by the back door on the deck. I left him an envelope in back with a little $$$ in it. I will be spamming refresh all day on the tracking info page.

I also noticed...because I have two PS4's coming that the one that they promised me an extra controller...the "controller gate" one actually weighs more according to ups. So I wonder if they actually DID throw in the extra controller.

In the meantime enjoy reading your guys impressions. Keep em coming!

The PS4 is just so clean & simple, so damn easy to connect everything and set it up.

HDMI connected to my 55" like a champ, no problems at all.

Power cord is simple enough, love not having a monster brick any longer after years dealing with the 360's massive one.

Update to 1.50 (I think) was smooth as butter and downloaded in about a minute tops.

Added the PS Plus 30 day free to my account with no problems.

Added the free $10 to my account with no problems as well (up to $24 now woo hoo!).

Now I'm just deciding on what free games to DL, Warframe, Blacklight Retribution, DCUO (for sure because I have two maxed out characters).

25% so far on the 2K14 install...

Love this damn PS4, sent out a few friend request by looking at all the OSers I already had on my list from PS3 and looking at their friends lists (some of you have this set to private! Grrrr!).

At 6:19 I was at 25%, at this time as of this post I'm at 73% on the 2K14 install.


I could obviously play a bit now, but I'll install then log off for work. Hope to see all those FR's i sent out accepted when I get back!

I restarted the system and it's installing it now. I seem to be good to go now.

That didn't work for me. What I had to do was delete the downloaded data and then restart the update from the settings menu. Just in case anyone else has the problem.

So I'm still sitting here at 'Order Processed: Ready for UPS' on Amazon. It's been like that since yesterday at 6am when my console 'shipped.' I called up Amazon and they said that they simply haven't updated the information yet, and that I'll get it today, but I'm a little....concerned..to say the least.
