Haha.. me and my bro were talking about this last night. I swear I spent 2 hours getting my stuff ready lol. Dusted off the console, so it was dust free. I took my system out of the box in super slow motion. It's like I did everything in super slow motion. I'm one of those guys that if someone had been standing right next to me while I was doing all of this I'd yell at them to get the **** back about 10 feet LOL.

You know though, no matter which system you get... I'm starting to get giddy about what other games are going to look and feel like on next gen. When EA finally drops a next gen Tiger Woods (errr. PGA Tour since they cut the brotha's endorsements lol)... even a next gen NASCAR game...

I'm one of those brothas who also has a high end custom built gaming rig, and I feel this generation of systems will finally overtake the gaming pc on SOME games. For example... I had 2k14 for my PC, with everything cranked up to the max.. and it looks WAY better than the current gen systems.. but when I fired up 2k14 on my PS4.. it makes my super duper gaming rig version look like Atari.. okay thats an exagerration... but I'm thinking about games like the next Witcher.. how I will probably grab it for PS4 and NOT PC for the first time ever. Will it look great on my PC? Sure it will.. but I think it will look better on PS4 or Xbox without me having to mess with graphics settings to get things running just right.

Now am I saying PC gaming is dead? NO NO NO. I will always have my high end electric bill doubling gaming rig because there are always going to be games that are just done right and better on PC... but I must say.. owning a next gen system keeps me from getting small penus syndrome I think I need to upgrade my video card in my gaming PC lol

I've asked a couple of times but have not gotten an answer. I watch tv on one television while I play video games in mute. I would like sound from the controller though but can not seem to get any. How does the speaker on the ds 4 work?

believe its only certain games, Ive only heard from Resogun. Have 2k, AC and KZ no sound from DS4

I've asked a couple of times but have not gotten an answer. I watch tv on one television while I play video games in mute. I would like sound from the controller though but can not seem to get any. How does the speaker on the ds 4 work?

You can only get full audio from your controller through a headset or ear buds. There is an option you can check to have all audio from the ps4 to go to headset instead of your tv

Well I finally figured out what that noise was that my ps4 was making every 15 seconds, I thought it was the fan but it's my Blu-ray Disc drive that is stuck in eject mode, it will not accept discs at all keeps pushing them out. I didn't know before because I downloaded my games off the store.

Also, I've seen a couple of people make posts about how they are underwhelmed, and these next gen systems are not delivering what they expected in terms of graphics, experience etc, and they havent had their system for a week OR couldn't get one and want to make themselves feel better. I will say this...

1. Sony and Xbox do not control the launch of 3rd party titles. And it would have been stupid of them to NOT launch their systems right around the holidays no matter if things like Watch Dogs was going to be ready or not. So if you are judging the power of the sytem itself on the games that were available at launch, you probably are a casual gamer no matter how much you want to wear the "I'm a true gamer" badge that a lot of us here have earned. Most of us here CAN see the forrest for the trees.

2. If you expected your games to have actual gameplay that looked like CG cutscenes from movies.. then you probably are a casual gamer. I still remember all the people who were up in arms over Madden 06 because the game play didnt look like the fully CG rendered high def commercial. Again, most true gamers know the difference between something being rendered for television VS graphics built for actual game play.

3. I don't really have anything for number 3. I just wanted to make this post feel more rounded out lol.

i got my ps4 delivered on Friday from Amazon (UPS). the box was a mess, huge hole in the side etc. i called, voiced my displeasure with how it arrived. they gave me promotional credit. i seen other people with issues like mine getting more back off their order. i called again, they gave me a full refund of 407.94. i wasnt expecting that, so, hello a lot of games i wasnt going to get. LOL.

To anybody who purchased via Amazon: Is $55.96 the right price for the squaretrade 3 year accidental coverage warranty? I saw you guys talking about it a while back but couldn't find anything.

I know the warranty thing has been beaten to death. But I've never used squaretrade or any warranty on consoles for that matter. Curious if there's a promotion we Amazon buyers can apply. TIA
