Need some help.

I have my PS4 hooked up to a monitor with only 1 HDMI port. I wanted to hook my PS3 back up to it too so I bought an HDMI splitter that you can plug into the monitor and allows you to plug 3 HDMI connections to it. Well the PS3 works through it but not the PS4. The only way I can get a picture is if I plug the PS4 directly into the monitor. Anyone know why this could be happening?


Update: I got it to work but only if the PS3 is turned on too! Then I can switch back and forth between them, once I turn the PS3 off I can no longer get the PS4 picture.I really don't want to have to run the PS3 just to get this device to work.

Update 2: Checked on Amazon where I purchased it and apparently others are having the same problem with the PS4 hook up.

Sounds like a handshake/hdcp issue, maybe play with the order you turn the TV and PS4 on.

Yeah when I get a 4 it had better not fire up like a Dreamcast. Thing sounded like a turbine...or my 360 during COD games lol.

Did Sony try to make it too small? I have been following this thread since before launch and haven't seen many of you complain about excessive fan noise...

I can barely hear it but I also have a separate fan that blows on the PS4. Had it for the PS3 and just kept it there.

Yeah probably the hdcp but as far as I know only certain splitters work to curb this right now.

Was playing COD:Ghosts a few minutes ago and got error ce-34878-0. Anyone have this problem and know of a fix for it. I got the error 3 straight times. Completely killed my gaming mood, so I just shut my system off. Smh.

How do u save campaign in BF4? I keep having to start from the beginning?

They're going retro where you have to beat it all in one sitting like the ol' days.

Nah man, just make sure Autosave is on or something. I don't trust Autosave in video games ever though, because they don't ever truly specify what checkpoint they save at, where that save file is, or if I have to restart an entire level or not, etc. I only like saving manually, personally.

I'm going to move it to another location and see what happens. Had it in a cabinet, but it was open so air could get to it.

If it keeps doing it, I'm going right to GS.

If I did the $10 upgrade on some of the ps3 to ps4 games. Can I play them on a different ps4 as long as I have the disc and same account? Will it let me download to a different console?

I called Square Trade last night to purchase my warranty and had a 30% code and the guy gave me a 35% code on the phone. If u haven't picked up a warranty u might try that route and just call SQ at 1-877-WARRANTY.

Speaking from experience, I would say no... The reason being because I purchased the ps3 version of BF4 then did the PS4 digital upgrade on PS4.. I downloaded it on my personal PS4 played it, and then downloaded it on my sons PS4... It allowed me to play it when I initially downloaded it while using my username, but since that day I have not been able to play it again on his PS4..
