Anyone else hoping with these new consoles (Microsoft and Sony) that games like Battlefield will finally have more players in a match. I loved battlefield 3 but I hate to admit that part of the reason I got out of it was the player count. Didn't have the hectic feel to it as it had on PC. Sometimes it felt like everyone was in a tank or aircraft and there were very few infantry to have gun fights against in certain maps. I want to feel that rush of 10 to 15 players running into a city with 3 to 4 tanks supporting you and 3 to 4 aircraft in the air, explosions everywhere. Make it like the name implies, a battlefield.PS4 Twitch: http://www.twitch.tv/candyman5os

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
A few thoughts (just watched through the entire presser):
- I was wrong. Before the press conference I told some friends that we wouldn't see anything done on the PS4 that hadn't already been done on a PC. I didn't see a single game tonight that looked like you could run it even on a very well built PC.
- Deep Down and Watch Dogs looked incredible. So did everything else, but those two games were particularly intriguing to me.
- Diablo lll doesn't interest me, but Blizzard partnering up with Sony sure does.
- Watching my friends play their games is a dream come true. Can you guys imagine being in an online dynasty and being able to watch the last minutes of your friends game? That's something I've been asking for forever.
- How screwed is Nintendo? Everything that was unique to the Wii U is now obsolete.
- Can't wait until E3 to see how sports titles look on next-gen consoles. As others have said, would be very surprised if Madden wasn't a launch title.
- I know some are saying Microsoft shouldn't be worried, but I'm not so sure. Sony appealed to gamers tonight, and it will be interesting to see how Microsoft answers.
- Another thing: if tonight proved anything, it's that the leaks were surprisingly accurate. If the same holds true for Microsoft, I'm not sure how people will react. So far, almost all of the rumors point to the "720" being more of a multimedia thing than a gaming console.

- No mention of exclusivity with Blizzard and Sony
- Yeah, Nintendo needs to hit some high notes really well with their next round of first party titles. As it is we might be talking WiiU end of life/WiiU2 rumors by 2014.
- First Sony launch without EA and Gran Turismo present, someone in an presser post-mordem said
- Bar has been set incredibly high, MS has a lot of work to do. System will be getting some of these titles we saw tonight too though... likely Diablo 3, Destiny, Watch Dogs and more. What's missing from their rumors is what was missing from the Sony rumors that helped put them all together in a nice package for the presser - their vision. We'll see who the victor is once MS has had their say.Comment

Didn't get to see the press conference, but read through everything here and watched some of the game videos.
Watch Dogs looks good and a must buy.
Destiny visually looks great, but don't know if it will appeal to my limited video game time. I'll have to see if you can play it solo as I can't predetermine my gaming time enough for much coop play. Also need a game where if I don't play it for a week or 2, then I don't miss a ton of stuff.
If this game comes out on current gen, it could span to next gen without losing any playing time. If it is an online world that doesn't stop, you could potentially play across PC, PS3, 360, PS4, 720. That would point to more of a streaming type game though.
Driveclub in concept is good, but most likely will only be successful to the hardcore racing fans that don't play much else.Comment

As for the console wars, this was the first generation I thought about getting an XBOX, but those thoughts went away after the conference. MS has to do a lot of work to win me over...especially because I don't want a multimedia box (have an HTPC). I want a pure gaming machine.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
With Sony confirming 8GB of RAM, the overhead of Microsoft trying to run an OS, DVR something or other, and a game all at the same time has got to be limiting. I've moved to Sony right now, will wait and see, but most likely will get my first PS.

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
The features Mark Cerny talked about and showed are great. The biggest shocker of the event for me was 8GB of GDDR5. I didn't think it was impossible, just unlikely. I'm glad I was wrong. It's amazing what you see devs doing the past couple of years with ancient hardware with only 512MB of RAM. I can't imagine what some devs will be pulling off 2-3 years from now.
The games shown were mixed for me. I like Killzone and inFAMOUS, but what are they going to do differently? Didn't see much of inFAMOUS so I will reserve judgment, but Killzone: Shadow Fall looked like a much prettier version of a shooter we've been playing for a decade now; complete with stationary targets, scripted set pieces, and the news of 30fps is disappointing. Comparatively, Destiny while it doesn't look as technically impressive for obvious reasons (big persistent world) sounds more interesting and ambitious; kind of FPS + Guild Wars.
Knack looks interesting, but not really feeling the art style and need to see more. Not sure what to make of what Media Molecule showed. Watch Dogs is a game I'm excited about, and while on the surface it looks like some other open world games, it at least looks like it's bringing some innovative new gameplay mechanics to the fold.
I'm almost on board, I just need some more exciting exclusive software to push over the edge, which I'm sure there will be at E3.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Another thing as well, wasn't GTA V put back to like September? Obviously we don't have a timeline of the release date for the PS4, but surely that is not going to work out well if GTA is released before the PS4? I mean, we haven't heard that it will be available on both PS3 and PS4...Comment

NFL Gameday was AWFUL but hey maybe they can make comeback. They also try to bring back NBA Shootout or NBA The Life or whatever they want to call it and take ahead of Live and become #2.Comment
