I just returned from Gamestop with my pre-order receipt . Got the console and an extra controller with my name on it on release day! I just need to figure out which game(s) are going to be release titles now.

The waiting game part 2 begins...

So GameStop already has in store preorders available. If so I guess I'll be there sometime this week. And if so how much?

Pretty much. Sony could have done better.

Also of note, HDMI out only, which shouldn't be too surprising since IIRC new BD spec specifies HDMI only for HD.

I pre-ordered a PS4 from Amazon. Will go into GS tomorrow and possible put 100.00 on an XBOX. Then will decide by launch. Just in case anything changes with MS stuff..

Release day when I was in there. They had 10 pre-orders left when I left the store.

Checked Amazon and the XBOX1 no longer has the option for release day delivery...
That's why I'll probably reserve 1 at GS tomorrow IF they have any left.

Guaranteed release day. I was #2 on their list. Rep told me every GS has a specific number they are guaranteed to get on release day. The amount is dependent on the foot traffic of the particular store. I'd go to your local GS first thing in the morning, before all the spoiled kids' parents get off work

Being in Hawaii and so many hours behind everyone, I was able to go to GS right after the conference and get my pre-order.

So with the "support used games" means that for example if I buy a game, when I put the cd on the PS4, the game will be saved in my console forever? Then I can do whatever I want with the disc? Like, giving it to another friend and he can use it normal like I do?

I only saw when they gave the price lol. So im pretty lost with that statement
