Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Will be buying at release for sure. Was always going to even before E3, but now the price point makes it a no brainer for me.
No used game fees, no always online connection, and a price point of $399, I'd say it was a clean sweep for Sony. They could have came out and taken a **** on stage, but at long as those three things were said, they'd win E3.
Still a better love story than Twilight. Still a better e3 than MS.badComment

I think I'm ok though. If the Amazon preorder doesnt work, my BB one was made when it went live too.Comment

Amazon is the best way to go IMHO. Saving 50 bucks in tax that could go toward another controller or game. I had no option for shipping so I don't think I got on the wagon quick enough for the first batch.
I jut hope Sony matches units to preorders. If they do then I should be ok.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Unfortunately my first PS3 (one of the original fat ones) YLOD and I believe that was caused due to overheating? I'm not 100% sure. My PS3 tends to freeze on resource-heavy games at times, too, but that I'm also unsure of whether it is a hardware or software issue. I always just figured it was because it got too hot with extended use.
As for inclusions, I don't care whether the camera is included or not--I guess it interacts with the controller in some way, but I figure I can just buy it if I really need one. I like that it is optional rather than required.
No mention of the form factor for the hard drive that I've seen. My guess is 2.5" laptop drives like the PS3.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
GT6 looked great, but if they can't match the Forza like career I don't care.
Beyond will be an amazing game for sure.
Kingdom Hearts 3 did grab my attention which is going to be a great game.
On the Xbox 1 front, games like Quantum Break, Ryse, and Dead Rising 3 really grabbed my attention. I felt like their E3 presentation was a bit better than years past and for once it felt quite a bit structured, except for the 360 front which was rushed. But their policies and $100 price point will drive many to the other side of the fence.
I did pre-order the PS4 on Amazon just in case from a financial standpoint I decide to get it. The PS3 and PC can get me by to Spring if not early summer is I decide to just wait it out. Sony has made it a little hard to jump over right away due to new IP's coming to the PS3 in the fall and some amazing 3rd party support which might not be there in the first year for the PS4/X1.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
399 is unbelievable but I'm still waiting till spring. I just want to get through all the PS3 games coming out and the ones I have so I can make a clean break with my PS3. Plus that 399 in March/April won't hurt. 399 in November, however, has a bit of a sting in it with all the holiday buying for the kids and family.Originally posted by Anthony BourdainThe celebrity chef culture is a remarkable and admittedly annoying phenomenon. Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Decided to place an order with Best Buy this morning. I'm not 100% convinced I'll be keeping it, but figured it wouldn't hurt to at least position myself to get a unit on day one if I do decide to make into next gen gaming this early in the game.
The $399.99 price point and no used game restrictions are the two major selling points for me. Being able to once again play MLB The Show again after missing out for the past 2 years helps make the decision easier as well.
Only costing $227 out of pocket because of store credit I had built up from trading in games. Haven't tried yet but I imagine I could use my Best Buy Reward Zone certificates to pre-order an extra control too which would be lovely.
Guess it comes down to how I feel after summer is over.Comment
