I know not everyone is into motion gaming, but it is a bit of PS4 news...

Every PlayStation 4 WILL come pre-loaded with a copy of The Playroom

Except like no one will own the camera itself now....

Cool stuff though! Glad it's free! IMO the camera is DOA since it's not included and everyone's hating on cameras as of now.

People are hating on a camera being REQUIRED to play a video game system. People aren't "hating" it just because it's a camera.

And there were over 15 million Move Controllers Sold... I'd say that's a pretty significant amount.

Yeah I got the email as well, freaked out as I went to check my bank account as I don't have the $$ in there until the beginning of September.

I know...just didn't see that many killer move apps...and more normal games will be more likely not to add on cool stuff since everyone doesn't have it.

No matter what Sony did sacrifice this a bit for price point...there's a difference between optional peripheral and hardware everyone must own (but not required)

I don't think that's necessarily true. Think about how many games have that Move warning screen at the front. First party games will very likely be adding stuff for it because I'm sure they'll get a little pressure from Sony. And if third party games get Kinect support, why couldn't that be ported over in some capacity?

The only thing I'm going to hate about going to the PS4 from the 360 is that my Astro A40's will be useless. Only good for audio and no chatting.

Why do you say that? Astro A40s work for voice chat for PS3 and everything Astro has said points to their mixamps being supported by the PS4 as well with no additional requirements.

Here's what Aron Drayer, Astro's director of marketing, said about it. The A30 & A40 are specifically mentioned in the article.

Drayer speculates that, because we aren't hearing about the same type of licensing and new products for the PlayStation 4 that Sony is aiming for the status quo. "Based on what we've heard (and a lack hearing from anybody else), our assumption is that things are very likely going to work as they do today," he told us.

This means that chat output via USB will likely be consistent from the PlayStation 3 to the PlayStation 4. We've reached out to Sony for details, but at the time of publication are still awaiting response.
