Will take more than a few neat tech demos for us to get the camera. Or a good deal. We'd rather put that $ towards an Xbox One.

I have no interest at all in a camera. While watching the demo, I was like, "Why would I ever want to do this?"

Only 4 people are canceling in this thread. 2 of them have military obligations so they wont be around when the console launches. One is upset that the console is launching in Nov. not Oct. The other is FootballForever.

I have no interest at all in a camera. While watching the demo, I was like, "Why would I ever want to do this?"

I like the Skype idea for Xbox One. Still not sure what I'm going with, but considering we do Christmas with people over Skype when we can't visit there, it'd be nice.

I know we can do it with a computer or iPad, but Kinect will offer a better quality camera/experience.

PS4 is a better gaming option for sure though, and I haven't seen enough of Move/Kinect games to make me think either are worthwhile.

Looks like we might see multiplatform developers actually take advantage of the increased power and performance of the PS4's hardware.

Need For Speed Rivals may look ‘a little’ better on one next-gen console than the other.

Need For Speed Rivals will feature better graphics on one next-gen console than the other, Ghost Games’ executive producer Marcus Nilsson has suggested – but refused to clarify which.

“What we’re seeing with the consoles are actually that they are a little bit more powerful than we thought for a really long time – especially one of them, but I’m not going to tell you which one," Nilsson told VideoGamer.com at Gamescom earlier today.

“And that makes me really happy. But in reality, I think we’re going to have both those consoles pretty much on parity – maybe one sticking up a little bit. And I think that one will look as good as the PC.”

Nilsson chose not to answer when asked whether he was referring to the PS4 version.

Pushing him on the subject further, I asked: “Does that mean that the PS4 version of Rivals will look better than the Xbox One version?”

“I think that both consoles will look pretty much on parity,” he replied, “but one of them might stick up a little bit.”

Though the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One share similar specifications, PS4 features faster GDDR5 memory over Xbox One’s DDR3.

Nilsson’s comments suggest that third-party developers may be looking to take advantage of the additional power of PS4, rather than deliver identical versions across both platforms.

When has the first wave of sports games ever proved to be a good measurement of a console?

I hear NBA Live, FIFA, NHL and Madden 2001 were good games on PS2.
