Nice video. The new XMB looks very similar to the old one (which I love). Much different video than those early sony commercials.

The First 2 Owners of PS4 Outside the Industry Are from Dubai

Quite a few industry professionals have a PS4 by now, or at least a dev kit, but what about normal dudes like you and me? Looks like the first two PS4 consoles have found a warm home, literally warm, as it happened in the Middle East, and more precisely in Dubai.
As part of a contest during Game 13 Expo in Dubai, two lucky guys named*Hamad Al Hai and Naji Riyadh got their hands on the console early, receiving it directly from SCEE President and CEO Jim Ryan, as you can check out from the grainy pictures below.
To be fair, we don’t know if they received the actual consoles or just empty boxes, with a promised delivery at launch. Lucky them? That’s for sure. Unfortunately whether they received the console or not, it doesn’t seem that they received any games with them, so it looks like they won’t be able to do much with them, at least for now.
Update: the post has been edited to remove an inaccuracy, as we don’t*really*know if the boxes actually have the consoles inside. If they don’t, it’d be the ultimate tease for sure.

Did anybody else notice the Edit Username selection? Does that mean we're finally going to be able to change our username? Or is that simply an option to log in with a different user?

its probably just edit the username, as in change what you have already typed in and either correct it or login as different person

I didn't even think about it being a devkit. That's probably the most likely scenario. If not, it's probably just their new version of "Login". I'd really love to be able to change my username. If I'm not mistaken, can't you change your username if you're in China?

Anything else these days should be unacceptable with the technology and pricing of it we have today.

As to the question? That's personal preference. One isn't inherently better and you'll find people on both sides of the fence.

60 FPS is more important than anything else. The increase in reaction time and smooth animations is much more important than 1080p which really only matter if your sit close to your TV or it's huge. Ideally we could get something like 900p at 60FPS rather than 720 but I wouldn't care honestly.
