The DS4 is a total improvement over the DS3 it's not even funny. I tried it last night with The Show and I like it quite a bit. It'll be hard going back to the DS3 now for the next few weeks. I'm going to test it out tonight on my PC with Batman AO to see how well it controls on there.

Ugh, I am about to call up my gamestop to see if they have the DS4 now. I live in the middle of nowhere so I doubt they will.

What does everyone expect availability for things like controllers etc... to be like at launch? Should I feel confident about being able to get a 2nd controller when I pick up my pre-ordered system at Target or should I try to grab one via Amazon?

I would say go to a local Gamestop (or any other retailer I guess) and grab a controller and/or camera now if you plan to get them at launch anyway. I imagine there won't be a huge shortage or anything, but stores, at least Gamestop, have plenty in stock right now. Might as well not risk there being a loss.

I'm still debating on whether or not I want to get a camera. I think I'll wait on reports from you guys before I buy.

I asked if anyone knows if it works in low light conditions and no one answered,... I don't game in a brightly lit room so that aspect will determine if I get one or not.

Anyone know?

No IR emitters, likely will struggle in low light. It's 100% visual I believe, the better it can see the better it will do.

I think a lot of the "older" gamers appreciate this time a little bit more because we know how far we've come.

Bruised thumbs on the Atari 2600. Finding enjoyment in 8-bit games. People complain about Madden but if they ever played 10-Yard Fight it would put a lot of things in perspective.

I'm enjoying this moment going into another next generation and I'm going to soak this up.

Just the overall feel. DS3's R2/L2 buttons didn't really feel like triggers, compared to the 360 controller.
