Everything I have seen is target is advertising get yours at 8am on the 15th. So I would say no midnight release

Sorry if this has already been mentioned guys but I'm confused. How are we supposed to get the PS4 on the 15th when most preorders are already taken and the game is sold out basically?...I don't get the point of a game coming out on a date and you can't even get it because it's already sold out and reserved. Unless you buy a bundle pack and even that isn't for the 15th it's just guaranteed before Christmas. Well duh I want it before Christmas because I'm supposed to have it on the 15th of November so I'm not going to be sold on that fact lol. But let me stop rambling before I get bashed, I just wanted to know what are the rest of you guys doing about it, unless you all have it reserved already then you're probably laughing at me lol.

I was wondering the same thing walmart has them available but they aren't shipping them out until December 15-20th but you have to pay all upfront if I pay upfront I'll be screwed with trying to find one around launch I'm completely torn on what to do

To be honest, the removal of MP3 support AND media streaming is enough to make me cancel my pre-order. These things, combined with the ability to ONLY share on facebook are terrible decisions that should cause someone to lose their job. They've just lost a customer.

These are huge. They didn't lose me as a customer, but they're giving me good reasons to keep my PS3, and removed all doubt of me considering getting this for Christmas.

I know they're about gaming this time around, but damn!

Correct me if I am wrong, but at this moment, the only digital entertainment available at launch will be Sony Music and Video Unlimited?

Does this mean there will be no other services available (Netflix?) at launch, unless they happen to announce at the 11th hour?

The news of no MP3 in the PS4 really hurts me and other OS members who devoted some time on the MLB's Sound of the Show section.

Is this something that could be added by a patch. The removal of mp3s and the lack of streaming kills custom music on the Show for next gen.

My guess is it depends on how hard they're going to push Music Unlimited and how successful that is/isn't. I believe MP3 playback does cost them a license, that's the only other reason to omit it, but when you can buy most anything these days with an input and it plays MP3s it's kinda expected of a device like this.

apparently the suspend and restore wont be available at launch? that is sad for me, I thought it was cool how it looked at the March (or was it February? or was it January ) event.

Yeah, this was also a cool thing...

Love how they just sell the crap out of everything and then just before release they drop a "FAQ" with minor details like this...

Yeah, still kind of late in the game. Glad I'm waiting for both to release to make a decision...I'll know the full pros/cons on both.

It is so asinine to me that a next gen system doesn't support the most common media file available. I think Sony figured this would be a way to force their music service on us, but I think it will backfire. I wasn't even considering getting an XB1, but this news is making me at least ponder it. Most likely I will be on the sidelines to start the new gen now. Disheartening

EDIT: Didn't even see that externall HDDs also aren't supported. Not sure what the hell Sony is thinking, but they are about to blow all of the good momentum they had leading into this launch.

1) The Show.
2) Xbox One hasnt confirmed that they have DLNA support either.

What this will do is force me to buy an XB1 earlier than I wanted to. If UFC and NBA2k15 have custom sounds, the Ps4 will become my secondary device.

Lack of mp3 support is a head-scratcher, but its not going to keep me from buying. I hope it gets patched before The Show comes out.

What this will do is force me to buy an XB1 earlier than I wanted to. If UFC and NBA2k15 have custom sounds, the Ps4 will become my secondary device.

Custom sounds play a HUGE part in my gaming choices and if they are available on X1 and not PS4, thats all it will take to get me to switch. It just adds so much to the game for me and I'm sure many others

You got the hook up with the 2K guys right? Could you please work the phones and see if you can get any info out of them or other devs on this? Maybe a tweet to Yosh could answer this as well.

That's it, I'm out for a while. I don't need to whore on graphics for at least a solid year. These omissions are beyond ridiculous.

I know you guys use your PS3's for different reasons... the aforementioned removals are atop my list. What's next, can't watch Blu-rays?

exactly we're in the same boat. And they want like 517$ up front. Then we have to wait another full month for it to get shipped then a few more days to even receive it lol

No custom sounds for future The Show games is a bummer, but not a deal breaker. Something I could see Sony patching later one.

Besides I don't think I could possibly managed to fit an Xbox One into my game room.
