I went to Bestbuy to pay off my PS4 and one of their employee said i couldn't. He didn't even explain why just that his boss said you can't pay it off until launch day. i don't why Bestbuy won't let me pay off my PS4 pre-order. Has anyone experience this before.

They do the same thing with games. Highly annoying.

They used to only let you pay the 5 dollar pre order but the one near me now let's you pay the list price but not the tax.

I read about that somewhere, paying it off voids your previous order and creates a new one, losing your place in line. Sounds like a garbage POS system is all.

I talked to my local BB today and they said they "might" price match the Target deal. Real useful. They told me to check the ad for next week, so I guess for those interested, if BB intends to match the deal, it will likely be in the Best Buy ad next week.

The guy was playing you. I worked at Best Buy for five years. They have next week's ad (and probably the week after next week too) in the back room right now. He knows if its in there or not, as he has probably seen the ad if he is paying attention. These ads are made several weeks ahead of time, and they are all over the warehouse/backroom where employees can see them if they are inclined.

If the deal isn't in the ad and they decide to match amazon, they will have to put up new signs in the store, which is a possibility. We did this several times to match local sales when I worked there. But they can't change an ad this late in the game.

Wouldn't they have to match given that a lot of their ads are how they match other stores and Amazon now (to combat showrooming)?

Funny that I called my Gamestop today and they told me to call on the 13 and they should have a few extra systems on hand. I was just thinking of grabbing the PS4 along with my fully paid ONE and just getting it over with, if I go and they do have one. I may so it, only issue the only game that I want on the PS4 as of now is the Show and that's it.

Given their volume cancelations are inevitable and if they haven't oversold preorders then they'd be FCFS.

Yeah I did the same thing, I don't have a game I want for PS4 until inFamous or The Show but I just opted to get it now since I know I'll be getting it before price drops anyway might as well get it now and be done with it.

It looks like every store is getting 20-25 OVER their preorder numbers. That could obviously change in a week and could vary by area, but that means that extras should be able to be had.

I just talked to one of my Best Buy friends. He's a supervisor in the store and saw their allocations for PS4s in the district here. It looks like every store is getting 20-25 OVER their preorder numbers. That could obviously change in a week and could vary by area, but that means that extras should be able to be had.

That's what we're getting as well. Shouldn't be hard finding one without a preorder.

When i went to Best Buy today, the guy also said that they should have approx. 150 copies of PS4 for people who didn't reserved it.

Unless it's a high volume store that is inaccurate. Maybe 150 total systems. If you get me the store number I could get a more accurate guess.

Well that's peculiar. Guess Best Buy doesn't want business? It's not a huge deal I'll just go to target instead if they don't want to match.

Hearing about their PS4 stock is making me second guess my extra pre-order. I guess at this point there's no threat to not getting a system, and if supply is good then my chances of flipping it are slim.

Thats what one of the guys at Best Buy up here in the Toronto area said as well, they should have 20+ extra.

I dropped the ball on pre-ordering, I was so torn on which one to get so I pre-ordered...neither LOL. Plus I also wasn't sure if I'd be able to grab one at all so I held off until it was too late. First time since 95 with the PS1 I haven't. But I'm quite looking forward to camping out. If the BB near me is doing a midnight launch, I'll camp out at 10am when they open on the 14th LOL. If not, I'll swing by around 5 or 6 the morning of the 15th.

He said it shouldn't be a problem grabbing one though. Should be a fun experience.

For those wonder if buy 2 get 1 free is in Best Buy's ad for next week, it's not. They do have get $25 in My Best Buy points with purchase of 3 PS4 games. So they have something for PS4 games, just not as good as what Target has.
