Off topic: I just found out via the "Today's Birthday" section that today is my birthday. Not kidding, i've been busy with School and work that i completely forgot about it until i came here to see about the Target deal.

Stopped by my local Target and they didn't have any ps4 games out at all. I asked and they said they don't come out until Tuesday

Same, it was halftime, and I didn't feel like point out that they were in the wrong. I will try the "good" target tomorrow that is near where I work on my lunch break.

Still can't figure out which to get out of the Target deal - I plan to get FIFA for sure and BF has been pre-ordered.

all 3 should be good games, just depends on what you like, you can't go wrong with any of them as long as you like that kind of game

Successfully pulled off the Target price match at Best Buy! What a story! It could have fallen apart about a dozen times but I kept getting lucky. I will fill in the details later, but here is a pic for proof:

OK, here is how this went down:

I went in to BB, thinking I would probably end up going to Target afterwards. Best Buy had 3 games out on the shelf: COD, Killzone and Knack. The others had pre-order cards only. A real young guy came over and I asked him if these were all the games he had in stock and he said yeah. I mentioned that I knew for a fact that other BB's were selling FIFA. He asked if I was sure and then we looked it up in the kiosk and it said available Nov. 8th. I pointed out that today was the 10th and he said he would check the computer. He did and they were in stock. He said he would ask his manager if he could sell it.

I asked him to check on NBA2K14 as well and he said he would. Then I said well, before you go to all the trouble, I am only interested if you are willing to match the Target deal and I showed him the ad. His manager was involved by this time and he said he was aware of the ad and that he would match the deal if Target had the games in stock and on the shelves. By this time, I was reading this thread on my phone while waiting in BB and I knew Target had virtually nothing, so my hopes sagged. In the meantime, the kid goes and looks for my games in back. This takes a long time but God love him the kid does not give up or just go through the motions. He comes back about 10 minutes later with 2K14 and Killzone but no FIFA. He says he has a few more boxes to check and goes back to do so. He returns about 10 minutes later with FIFA. By this time I am hoping that they have gone through so much trouble they will forget about calling Target, which the manager said they have to do.

So the kid starts checking the games in the system and - uh oh - NBA2K14 has a BB release date of 11/15. He says he can't sell it. So I tell him that GS has been selling them. He checks the GS website and doesn't understand that "Ships in 24 hours" means it is currently available. I finally tell him I actually have a copy at home and he asks why I am buying another copy. I explain it's because of the Target deal and that I will return the other copy. He talks to another manager and he says go ahead. We go to start the sale and the kids says, "Now all I have to do is call Target." NOOOO!!! I know I am screwed here after all this time and I start thinking about how I can sweet talk my way into getting the sale anyway. The kid picks up the phone and dials. He hangs up; he mid-dialed. He starts to dial again and a third manager comes over and asks what he is doing. He shows him the Target ad and says the other manager said he had to verify the ad was correct. The third manager says, "Nah, I'll sign off on it." He does, the kids enters it all in, and I get my 3 games for the price of 2.

I almost ran out of there before they changed their minds and so I could report back to you guys that I had pulled it off. Perseverance paid off but pure dumb luck played a huge part. And the kid. The kid kicked total butt.

BTW, this was in St. Louis at the South County store. I am filling out the survey on the receipt and giving the highest possible props to the kid, Zack.

I know someone who got their Best Buy to price match.

How did he pull that off? I didn't feel like making a scene today but tomorrow is a whole different story. They told me they don't price match bundles.

Yes. That is how it looked under the top. I'll post my receipt later tonight or tommorrow. Those were just the values if you flat return the game and don't keep one.

Just walked in and showed the Target deal. I spoke with 3 different people from Best Buy.com with their chat system and they all said they would match.

Let me explain something about retail.

The stores can do whatever they want, it is all based on the manager you talk to, if you are EVER told no by an associate, talk to the manger on duty.

Never listen to cashiers about anything, managers will make the guest happy because if corporate receives complaints, its the managers ***. If a company advertises price matching, they usually will help you out if you talk to the right person.

Went to Target and talked the associates into grabbing some games only to get boned by the register. They were nice enough to hold the games for me so I can pick them up Tuesday.
