Very smooth launch for the PS4, for me. Was able to play a couple games of Madden online, some BF4 campaign and a few rounds of BF4 multiplayer. Overall I'm pressed with everything. Madden graphics could be better, sure. But everything looks and feels smooth. Graphics will only get better from here, so it's going to be a good generation.

Yep agree. My setup was flawless and everything (knock on wood) has been great. Party chat was crystal clear and played some NBA online and it was very smooth also.
Madden will hopefully get visually better each year but it plays a fun game of football.

Okay. So what kind of warranty is everyone getting? Square Trade?

I think I'm gonna get the warranty through Sony. I purchased my ps4 through bestbuy and it's cheaper to get the Sony warranty. Plus I don't know about the others but I read the Sony warranty starts after the manufacturers warranty is over. And that's good for me because I know bestbuys warranty usually run consecutively with the first year so it's only like getting one year extra of extended warranty.

My internet connection keeps going down on the PS4, but everything else works fine in the house that connect to my router. I wonder if its PSN issues related or what. It is things like this that annoy me with Sony. I understand it is day 1 and they are probably getting slammed, but they should of had an idea of how many people were going to get on day 1 through pre-orders alone. I'll be shocked if MSFT has these same problems come next week, which we know they won't.

Lets not forget about the Christmas of 2008 when Xbox dropped in price and hoards of people logged on and caused the network to crash for nearly a week....

I will be surprised if MS doens't have the same issue.
Think about it.... they have a milion plus people ready to take their XBox One home and then have to download a 3 GIG update. Yeah, that's going to go smooth....



Launch week for both companies is going to be rough.

I'm hoping that both companies can get the kinks ironed out fast when the problems start hitting.

I've had no problems since the first day when i couldnt log in. After that everything has been smooth loving the Ps4

I'm not an apologist for PS4 but I understand that it is release day and it wasn't going to be perfect.

I finally was able to get PSN information set up and have 13 months of PS+. I was able to hop in a party chat and it was really nice. I can see myself getting a better headset soon. Might ask the girlfriend to get me one for Christmas. By the way does anyone have a recommendation?

I played the exhibition on NBA2K and oh my this game is beautiful. It felt sooooooo good and organic. I also don't have the controls down at all so my performance showed it. I couldn't ISO my way to the basket which was nice. I felt like the Spurs played like the Spurs. Overall that short game was perfect. When I get a chance in going to hop into the tutorial so I can get the moves down. Also have to learn how to pull up the plays. It is definitely not a pick up and play like a vet kinda game, which I like.

Played a little of the BF4 campaign and I think it looks amazing.

The day started out super frustrating due to PSN issues but thankfully I was at least able to set up a few things. It will take some time to adjust to the new layout but I dig it.

I hope all you guys with issues get them sorted out! I'm shocked people are having issues with Amazon. I have been a Prime member for 3 years and I have never had a single issue with them.

Anyone still having issues getting BF4 to start? I can't get by the static city landscape image. The game is installed as I checked.

So far so good after one day. Only played Madden and 2k. Hope to get some FIFAand Killzone time in today as well. One question: I play in my basement with the sound off On my gaming TV because I usually having something on the other tv down here. How do I get the sound to come out of my controller?

Had just a few minutes to play period yesteday. First had it hooked up to my 55" Samsung Plasma. Set up with no issue. Updated no issue.

Fired up NBA 2k14. I wasn't "blown away", it was nice, but I wasn't astounded. Played for a few minutes, let it update. Game is definitely a drastic improvement gameplay wise.

Took the system downstairs to my Projector, and it was night and day. Absolutely gorgeous. I apparently need to update my firmware on my Plasma. Playing this at 1080p at 135", 60FPS was a thing of beauty.

Unfortunately I don't have a lot of time to play the next day or two, but man... Very nice.

So disappointed.

Can't play anything but Madden and thats too stale. Played BF for an hour yesterday, now I go to play today it was awesome and get corrupt save. Had to delete it and now I try to install and disc drive spins and makes a noise like its trying to read and then stops spinning like the bad BR drives.

PSN is buggy as hell, it feels like they released it in BETA seeing crashes all over the place in NBA and BF, could be my console though who knows.

The same thing happened to me twice on my 360. Got a corrupt game save for my campaign and had to restart. I believe this is a game issue and not a console issue. I've heard they are working on a patch.

welp I'm ****ed out of 50 bucks....I signed up for PS plus last night and when I logged on this morning it shows that I have to join PS plus to play online......wtf.....

going to try and sign in and out again but man....

My PS4 finally came at 7:30pm. Went got margaritas and some tacos, came back fully stuffed and plugged it up.

It was literally the smoothest startup - took 2 mins download update I put in kill zone and was playing in a min. Very surprised how fast I could startup kill zone. No PSN issues at all, stayed connected from the get go, downloading is much much improved.

Kill zone - just awesome
Nba2k unbelievably good looking
Fifa14 - biggest surprise is that I think it's the game current gen tried/claimed to be. For me it's a whole new game and for the better. I'm very very pleased by how good it is.

Going to play knack this morning and some of free games. I downloaded resogun how the hell do you play it? Says that it needs a license? Supposed sed to be free for PS+

My phone found my app straight away. Not sure if it's because they are both on the same wifi or what. Had no issues with it at all.

My PSN is nthubernoob if you wanna shoot me a request. I only look at the console once every 30-60 minutes right now since I'm downloading/installing NBA 2K14 and 50 GB takes plenty long. Only at around 55% still :S

Anybody have trouble streaming? I kept trying all last night to stream using the share button but it would only stream for a second and then the broadcast would cut out. Going to hop back online shortly and give it another try
