Finally played a game of Madden today, which I rented from Gamefly. I echo what most others are saying: it is a step up from current gen for sure, especially gameplay wise. I had a much better time and more fun playing one game of the PS4 version than I ever did on the 360.

That said, it still feels like where the current gen ought to be if EA hadn't dropped the ball so many times. It's presentation is nowhere near where it should be for a next gen game, especially when compared to 2K14, which has set the bar extremely high right out of the gate.

Still, I am pleasantly surprised by the gameplay and that's what matters most. It gives me little hope for the future.

Are the servers up?

I enjoyed it too, even as an FPS fan. It does day "beta" tho so I'm wondering if a there will be a retail (paid) version in the future. Can't beat a quality, free game in the meantime.

I'd recommend SquareTrade but they do ask for a serial number to activate protection.

Cool. I can buy it off their website but was just looking to save some dough.

Find myself asking the question that keeps popping up in this thread.

Squaretrade or Sony Warranty with Accident Protection?

One's more expensive for me (ST) but I feel like Sony would be more likely to send me a Refurb unit back instead of trying to repair my original console.

Anyone have any experiences with either?

I have the same question....how much is the ST warranty?

Kevin, call me a crazed lunatic, but I'm enjoying Madden a lot more than 2K14, and I do follow the NBA fairly closely. Madden on next gen is only a modest graphical improvement, but for me the gameplay is much, much better than current gen. The blocking is much better, the coverage is better, the replay angles are very realistic, the UI is tremendously improved (no more lag), and there are finally (finally) in-game saves again.

I agree. I do find myself hopping back into 2K14 everytime I'm watching Sportscenter NBA highlights. I get all pumped up and get in a couple of games of MyPlayer or MyGM, then it's back to rebuiding the Cheifs. No I'm not a KC fan.. but I think their uniforms look sweet during the day games lol. Also, I intentionally made them into a little bit of a rebuilding project. I know I know..you're saying, "but that team is locked and loaded!".. YES however, I've mastered the art of trading away older but highly rated guys that have expiring contracts. I traded the starting LT (whos a 91, but 29 and in a contract year asking for 6 more years at 7 million a year) to another team with a Young 24 yr old 83 OVR LT and a first round pick.

I also traded off Jamal Charles to Cincy for Giovanni Bernard and a 2nd round pick.

Alex Smith was traded off as well for a 2nd and 3rd round pick... I signed Tim Tebow off of FA (yes I know I know), but hes like a 78 OVR right now... and actually putting up middle of the pack starting QB numbers (and Im playing Coach Mode).. he is NOT going to be my franchise QB though.. there is a QB in this draft class who I've scouted their OVR grade and it's an A (and he's not storyline so I dont have to worry about halfway through the game saying he broke and arm and is now going to be like a C)... The 2 2nd round picks I have now and two 3rd round picks Will be used to fill holes that some vets will leave that I won't re-sign two years from now when they are old and back down to like lower 80's in OVR.

Giovanni Bernard halfway through the season has jumped to like an 87 OVR and works very well in our scheme. Again, I would probably get to the SB with the default chiefs roster.. but I'm trying to win 3 in a row or 3 out of four after year two or 3 of my CCM.

I did the practice with the bots. I really like the mechanics. I need to try again, cause I couldn't find anyone online.

Tried madden from gamefly today. I was shocked its really plays a good game of football. I plat on zoom with slow speed and it played really good. Its looks better than videos maybe cause I play on zoom cam. I will be picking it up or keep from gamefly(keep $49)

I'm trying to install COD Ghosts which I purchased on the PSN store. I've been sitting at a blue screen that says installing application for a good 15 minutes. Does it normally take this long to install a game?

When I sent my system to Sony, they want a copy of my receipt. In which I had to go to Amazon and print out my invoice.

The slot is to the left of the power and eject button when the console is laying flat.

I bought two consoles. One off amazon and one from Gamestop.


For those who bought squaretrade warranty with Amazon PS3s, did they ask for a serial number or anything for your console?

Was wondering if I could buy it from Amazon and use it to cover the Gamestop PS4

I am in the same boat, have two consoles from the same places. Kept the GameStop one and sold the other. Wanted to do the square trade on the one from GameStop. I might try and see if it works.

Took me longer to DL the NBA Live than I expected. 45 minutes. Wired 35 down Internet.
