This is a pretty decent headset if your just looking for something on the cheap.



I have the Golds, but I had these before so I was just giving you an inexpensive suggestion.

I think they were like 15-20 bucks, I forget.

This is the exact headset I use,and have not had a single problem out of them.

I picked up mine at WalMart........but I just seen on Gamestops website they are available for 24.99.

Got some questions for you PS4 owners. I'm making the leap in a couple weeks from the Xbox 360.

1. Is the battery pack rechargeable or do I have to buy one separate?

2. I seen from lurking in here a couple times, that the gold headset is a steal. Does it work like turtle beaches? Meaning, can I play my TV sound thru the headset during late night hour gaming sessions when my Lil one is sleep?

3. How long does it take to install and download games?

4. What's some good games to purchase right away excluding black flag and tomb raider?

1. You charge the controllers from the console via a USB. There are also a few charging stations out there. Sometimes I'll leave my console on stand by just to charge a controller if I know it is getting low.

2. I have the golds and yes you can play both game and chat audio through the headset at the same time. The problem is that I have some friends with really, really ****ty mics and if a game is loud, I can barely hear them. There is also the option to have just chat come through the headset. I actually hate their mics so much but they are cheap pricks.

3. Install depends on the game. The Show, I think, took somewhere between an hour to 90 minutes (I'm on a wireless network). The good thing is that with The Show and Fifa, once enough has installed you can play an exhibition game while the rest installs. I downloaded Injustice from the store and that seemed to go quickly, if I can remember. Normally when I install games, I go do something else and check back.

4. This question is preference based. I didn't buy AC4 of Tomb Raider. If you're a baseball guy - definitely get The Show. I really enjoyed InFamous: Second Son.

I bought that basic Turtle Beach and it's all I will need for a while. I haven't had any issues with them at all.

Taking a wait and see approach with Rockstar this time around, they pissed me off when it came to online play.

Good thing I got rid of it when I did, to this day heist are still no where to be found.

I am satisfied with the mic it came with. I suggest that to be completely honest.

That mic is a piece of crap. If you're recommending those I'd imagine you haven't tried anything else.
The earbuds are hella uncomfortable and hurt most people's ears after just a few minutes use. The mic is so bad people on the other end have a hard time hearing those that use this.

Exactly. I have a friend that uses the mic that came packaged with the ps4. Can't hear him worth anything. I tell him to get a clothes pin and clip the mic to his nose or something.

The lack of anything quality to play at the moment has me thinking about it. Bought it at launch for ps3, reached chapter 4 with first character and then got distracted when GTA came out and never went back. I think I'm ready to dive in again.

It's just that I have so many games coming up (Madden, FIFA, Destiny, 2K15).

I really want to get it but I'm also trying to be realistic about playing time.

I also still play BF4 a **** ton (daily).

Sony has confirmed with GameSpot that Share Play users will be limited to 60 minutes per session. There's no limit on the number of times you can use Share Play, meaning you can conceivably start Share Play up again and continue playing.

While you may expect some sort of limit in what specific games will be compatible, Yoshida assured that aside from games that use the PlayStation Camera, like PLAYROOM, any game that can be played with the Dualshock 4 will be playable via SharePlay. "There is no need for developers to do anything for their games to be compatible with SharePlay." Yoshida said.

I've been thinking about it. That's my issue too. I'm getting Destiny, and Madden. I know Destiny is going to take most of my gaming time. I also have a couple of games on my backlog.

I may just get it because I have some store credit I have to use before November. Can't use it for Destiny since Best Buy is basically giving me the game for free. They had to cancel my limited edition pre-order.
