His post equates to trolling, right down to the smug "Hmmm" that preceded it.

Or with the security question knowing it was a DDoS, he's just uninformed.

Distributed denial of service. Basically flooding networks and/or servers with a bunch of garbage traffic that it can't handle.

They might be using an existing botnet which consists of infected and controllable pcs.

I thought my PS4 was dying.

Just woke up, it felt like my ps4 took awhile to load, at least longer than usual. Couldn't sign into PSN and then when I tried whole system hard froze. I was thinking "This is it."
            You and me both.

I turned on my PS4 this morning got stuck on the log in screen. I pressed the button but it just locked. I had to shut it down manually. I thought it was all over with Golf Club and Destiny right around the corner.

I'm sure a network of sonys size requires zombie botnet attack to even come close to being successful with a dos

For those you trying to play games offline but can't, I have a solution for you guys. Go to Settings > Network > Connect to the Internet. Un-check that box and you'll be good to go. When PSN is back up, go back to settings and reconnect to the internet.

These DDoS guys are so stupid.

They threatened American Airlines Twitter account saying there is a bomb on one of their flights.

They think they're invincible. All it takes is a split second mistake and they'll get busted.

I have an ASUS MX279H 27" IPS monitor that is absolutely fantastic for being under $300. I have it set up next to a 27" iMac, so my ASUS is hooked up to my PS3 & PS4 via HDMI, and serves as a second monitor to my iMac via a VGA cable.

It's great to be able to browse OS, keep tabs on Twitter, watch games on MLB.tv, all while gaming on the second monitor. I don't think I could ever go back to the ol' couch-and-TV setup.

Heh, my setup is almost identical to that of Ryan's. Nice!

My PC monitor has a few technical advantages over the TV though (input delay, mostly), but the TV is also the only way I can video capture the PS3. So when I'm not capturing, I move the PS3 image over to my PC monitor with HDMI.
