That is something I really hate that ever game has to be installed because on ps3 I have like 45 games and I have only used like 90GB out of 120 so I never had to replace the hard drive. Now with PS4 I only have 6 games and I have already had to use around 280 GB and that is with no DLC or music or anything like that on my PS4. So even though I payed 400 for ps4 compared to ps3 paying 500 because I am going to have to by a new hard drive at some point it really didn't cost me less then 100. Sports games when they come out I do delect and go on to the next one but ever other game I keep saved has I still go back and play games once in a while that are old. So with PS4 really I am going to need a 2TB hard drive. I miss having mermory cards like we used to have.

Yeah at the beginning of 2015 I plan on upgrading my hard drive something I never thought I'll do. As far as Digital vs Disc I'm a lot more open to Digital now after my experience of not being able to trade the game in. I like now having to switch disc it just feels modern. NBA 2k15 , GTA V , MK X all digital for me.

(A) If games are also installed onto the harddrive with physical discs, if each game is hypothetically 50gb and you only have the default 500gb harddrive, then you can only have a rotation of 10 games (or 9 games, percentage of mb required for other default PS4 stuff) at one time? If the gamer wanted buys two other disc based games, I'm assuming s/he would need to delete two other games to make room, correct? This is assuming you don't want to mess with installing a 1 tb or 2tb harddrive.

Well, game sizes will vary, but yes, you would have to uninstall games if you ran out of space.

Installing a larger hard drive is easy though.

I don't know how the DRM works. It's possible that your license information will need to be redownloaded at some point. You would need to connect to start that process.

You can play any game you purchased. I'm not referring to sports licenses.

Just redownload all your digital games onto your new PS4? ... unless the license (or verification license) has not expired?

Yes. Before you sell your old one, you should disable the primary ps4 option for it. When you get your new one, you should go and enable it for that unit. You can only have one primary PS4 and if you try to mark a system as a primary PS4 while another PS4 is marked as primary, you will receive an error.

Saw some really impressive Drive Club media online over the weekend. I was always kinda excited to give it a spin, but never like "oh my God I need to play that" excited.

I saw an article that stated the PS Plus version will be basically full retail with trophies, minus some cars and tracks. Then other websites are saying no one knows for sure. Anyone here have some clarification on that? Not that I am going to buy the full retail version anyway, was just curious as to what I can expect next month.

Anyone having issues with PSN store on their PS4? Everytime I try to go there, I just get a blank blue screen and my only option is to cancel.

Buy the camera at one store, then return it to the store that has the game, then buy the game and camera with the coupon.

Lol.. Yep I've done that a few times.

Anyways I Just bought AC Black Flag used as I never played more than maybe 30 minutes of it. Will play it for a few days then return it to GS and put it towards one of the new games I'm getting. Forgot I had a ton of points on GS card and can get the coupon for 50.00 off so that helps with the flood of games coming.

Didn't know where to put this, but I'll ask here:

I'm going through the trouble of running an ethernet cable along the ceiling of my basement so my PS4 can be direct connected. Will I really notice that much of a difference versus wireless?? I've never been directed connected....ever.

Also, I purchased a Cat6 cable instead of a Cat5e. Did I make the right call?

Depends on what kind of quality of wireless connection you were getting, but I have found that wired is much more reliable (less drops) and faster than wireless. You'll probably notice the most difference when downloading large games, or in fast-paced shooters where lag makes all the difference.

As far as Cat5e vs. Cat 6... you probably could have saved a little money and went with Cat5e, as you are almost certainly not going to be able to tell the difference between the two. But if you are going through the hassle of running cable, unless you are tight on cash, there's no reason not to use the latest, greatest stuff.

Between yesterday and this morning, I think I made up my mind to go complete digital. The ability to quickly load up either NBA2k15, PES2015, WWE2k15, and (eventually) MLBtheShow15 is pure gold.

Should I even consider upgrading my harddrive (apparently, only approximately 408 gb is available to the user with a completely brand new PS4; the other gb for the PS4 operating system). Hypothetically assuming the sports game listed above are approximately 40-45gb (50gb for the sake of mathematics) each, I'm essentially left with about 200gb of free space. PS4 is designated entirely for gaming only.

Memory required for games saves??

(A) Any suggestions on a harddrive, especially locally either from Best Buys or Fry's Electronics? Specifications? 2.5, SATA 1, 2, 3??, 7200 rpm vs 5400 rpm, heat issue..., etc.? Wondering if I can have one of the store associate install the new harddrive...

(B) Youtube has a lot of upgrading your harddrive, but does anyone have a suggestion on go-to upgrade video with step by step visual instructions?

(C) ... That Sony PS4 system software update. People talked about the 1.50 version, but it looks like there is the 1.76 version, I'm assuming the newest latest and greatest version 1.76 would be required to be loaded onto the new 1 TB (or greater) installed harddrive?

I would upgrade it. This is the drive I used. It's a 2tb seagate external drive that I removed from the case. It's a cheap and popular option in the ps4 community.

The 2tb is a great drive. If the shop wasn't sold out I would have gone with it. I ended up going hybrid 1tb. It loads quick and the extra space is nice
