It's just a cable with a standard end on it. Nothing special. The charging capability comes from the laptop providing a small voltage via one of the USB pins. Nothing special at all about the cable. I think it's a USB micro connection which tons of hard drives, phones and other devices use....including the DS4. This could save you from hauling extra cables around.

Yeah I know, but it just so happened that my phone & PS4 charging cable jack are the same & I was just about to order a USB cable for my phone to plugin the laptop.

Essentially, you're just defragging the hard drive. For some people, games get choppy at times and rebuilding the database fixes that.

I haven't had any problems with games, but I've noticed the initial menu loading on start-up of the console is bogged down.

Can anyone recommend a decent headset? I've been looking into the Sony gold wireless, Razer kracken 7.1 and the turtle beach px4

I have the px4. Jury still out, worked great for chat so far but when I send all audio to them they break up.

May move them to my PC and get a cheap chat headset for the consoles.

Sony Gold is the way to go imo.

                  This ^

It's been stated time & again in this thread. I will tell you that the Sony Gold is the best wireless headset you're going to get for the price.

It's amazing, I stopped using my TB DXL1 W/DSS2 and my Tritons. The Golds are more comfortable, convenient, portable etc.

                    Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion

I just can't get into the DS4... no matter if I'm playing basketball or a shooter, my left thumb wants to slide off it and I have to at times realize that I'm near the edge and quickly let go to reposition the pad of my thumb back in the middle. This is mostly the case where I'm pushing it away either straight or at an angle.

I thought the xbox 360 controller was better than the xb1 controller, but having used both the 1 and DS4 extensively The thumb sticks are just way more "sure" on the x1. I really find myself missing that controller for that reason.

I know some it's all about the asymmetrical line-up of the sticks, but for me it's a grip/sureness thing. I notice the slippage and my brain starts reacting to the best time to adjust rather than just playing, being immersed and everything being 2nd nature.

I really hope there is a 3rd party controller by the holidays (doubt it), or I may grab those Kontrol freek's because they are also more stubby....but I hope they could potentially do the trick.

If I was playing bf4 vs myself DS4 vs X1 controller it would be very significantly in favour of X1.

Buy some Grip Its for $4 and call it the day. Kontrol Freeks are severely over priced......

Go to GameStop and get some of these.

They're awesome, and everyone that I've talked to doesn't have anything bad to say about them. I was in the camp of "I don't wanna use anything like that, I think they're silly" and then the rubber on my stick tore. Got them out of necessity and glad I did.

Yup. I have those and love them. Helped a ton. I even got a pair to put on a brand new ds4.

Thanks, I will grab those, cheap so no big deal... I ended up looking at kontrol freeks as well, and depending on the height of the tabs I might get a pair of those too, just to add on the right stick

My kid has the 4 and I hate the controllers. It would be nice if you could use the old PS3 controller.

im surprised they don't i know they made it where u can use the ps4 ones on ps3 just have to reassigned them once u play the ps4.

I don't know why so many ppl don't like new controllers I don't have any problems with them.
