I prefer the Dual Shock 4 to the PS3 and Xbox 360 controllers. Feels great in my hands. I haven't used an Xbox One controller for comparison.

It's been stated time & again in this thread. I will tell you that the Sony Gold is the best wireless headset you're going to get for the price.

It's amazing, I stopped using my TB DXL1 W/DSS2 and my Tritons. The Golds are more comfortable, convenient, portable etc.

Can the Sony Gold wireless USB dongle connect directly to the HDTV usb socket to simply watch tv shows and movies? How is the audio/video syynch/lag on the headphones? Thanks.

I just can't get into the DS4... no matter if I'm playing basketball or a shooter, my left thumb wants to slide off it and I have to at times realize that I'm near the edge and quickly let go to reposition the pad of my thumb back in the middle. This is mostly the case where I'm pushing it away either straight or at an angle.

I thought the xbox 360 controller was better than the xb1 controller, but having used both the 1 and DS4 extensively The thumb sticks are just way more "sure" on the x1. I really find myself missing that controller for that reason.

I know some it's all about the asymmetrical line-up of the sticks, but for me it's a grip/sureness thing. I notice the slippage and my brain starts reacting to the best time to adjust rather than just playing, being immersed and everything being 2nd nature.


I really hope there is a 3rd party controller by the holidays (doubt it), or I may grab those Kontrol freek's because they are also more stubby....but I hope they could potentially do the trick.

If I was playing bf4 vs myself DS4 vs X1 controller it would be very significantly in favour of X1.

Buy some Grip Its for $4 and call it the day. Kontrol Freeks are severely over priced......

They're awesome, and everyone that I've talked to doesn't have anything bad to say about them. I was in the camp of "I don't wanna use anything like that, I think they're silly" and then the rubber on my stick tore. Got them out of necessity and glad I did.

Yep. Even though my sticks were ok I put the grips on them and they are very nice. No slippage now

I've never plugged them into my HDTV, that's a good question. I'll have to look that up. I have connected them to my pc / laptop and they worked great for watching a movie.

I didn't perceive any lag on the audio to visual sync. But to be fair, I've only watched maybe 3 movies with them.

I don't believe so. That was one feature that wasn't carried over from the Pulse. I do know that the Pulse Elite headset works that way though... Basically turning any USB device into a wireless audio device.

Same here. I love the new controller AND all the crazy features they included but what's so great is they kept the same basic design! So awesome. The whole family has loved the new ds4.

But I've only let them touch the ds4 once each.

After what I considered an extreme dead period, my gaming cup runneth over now on the PS4. I am obsessed with FIFA 15, loving Shadows Of Mordor, still think Madden is fantastic and can't wait to dig into NBA 2K15 some more. I honestly don't have close to enough time to enjoy all my games. This time a little over a month ago I was struggling to find something to keep me interested.

And Far Cry 4 and Dragon Age 3 are right around the corner. Great time to own a PS4!

Right now, I am playing Madden, The Golf Club and Alien: Isolation.

This weekend I will probably pick up Shadow of Mordor and Drive Club, and I will have to get Far Cry 4 at some point.

Pix the Cat is addicting. I play it a little every day just to try and do a little bit better. Fun little game.

Sound Shapes is on sale this week. Ultimate Bundle can be had by PS+ members for $12.49.

I went to grab The Walking Dead: Season 1, but backed off at the $25 price tag. I'll try and grab it when it drops down a bit.

For all the pinball fans Zen just released two new tables inspired by South Park.

NBA 2K is taking up all my time but I want to play The Evil Within. With Project Cars and GTA V coming out soon I've got all I need.

Had I not gotten My PS4 free I would have probably still waited until Qtr2 next year. Just nothing out there now that I care to play. It's mostly recycled PS3 stuff.

Far Cry 4, Call of Duty, MK X, MLB TS, and Arkham Knight are the only games I see in the future that I really want to play.

NBA 2k's great and I'll play the heck out of it but it's not a system seller for me.

That said, had the PS4 been backward compatible with my ps3 library I would have had it earlier in the year.

Speak to some and you'd think PSN was near perfect.

I've experienced the same thing. My friend list only populates halfway down. Funny thing is when it was free on PS3 I never had this issue, so I'm guessing it's something to do with firmware on PS4 and communicating.

As for connection issues I haven't had hardly any. I'd say the service is near perfect with the only issues being friends list population.

Yep, my only issues are with the friends list and trophies sometimes. As far as connection goes, it has been great. Never have an issue getting online in games.
