GS had a pretty sweet deal where if you get a year of PS plus you get a free controller for an additional 10 bucks. Due to some credit I had, I got the Last of Us Bundle, the Show, a year of PS Plus, an additional controller for a shade under 400.

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
SpoilerI just did some googling, made a discovery that has me in love with Spotify (was rather flat on it before).
Make a playlist, throw in it a song, or songs, from the various artists you like (at least one song per artist, not sure how it works in terms of how it associates songs, if it's based on artist or some metric of the song itself, but if they are a group with a varied sound you might add more songs).
Go to the playlist from that first step, right click (or hit the little three dot options menu on the right of the playlist on android) and hit "start playlist radio" and it will play songs related to those in the playlist.
Enjoy.
If you aren't premium, cheat the system, switching to a new radio station isn't considered skipping songs, so duplicate that playlist under different names, start each as radio station. They will now show in your recent stations, if you hit a song you want to skip, just switch stations.
Man, after a few days of listening... Son, I am dissapoint. I listen to music all day at work, then all night on the PS4, I don't think this is going to work the way I wanted it to. I looked up more information on the googles and found this text wall of broken dreams...
It's NOT possible these days. Try creating a playlist with a bunch of songs you like and click "Playlist Radio". After listening for awhile you'll notice that every song you hear comes from maybe 5 of those base songs; all the rest of your base songs will be completely ignored and you'll never hear songs from those base songs (even as you hear repeat after repeat of the exact same song from the 5 that Spotify actually does use).
Unfortunately the Spotify playlist radio feature is nothing like Pandora's QuickMix (which is why I'm going back to being a paid Pandora customer despite Spotify having pretty much every other feature Pandora doesn't have).Always looking for solid CF25 Dynasty owners, follow the link to get started >> PS5 P5 Dynasty DiscordComment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Yeah, I've noticed that as well, it's a shame. Also, there must be some deal they have to push recent albums, on one playlist, 80% of the songs were from 3 albums (that Soundgarden boxed set, latest too fighters, and, despite thumbs downing every song and it not taking the hint, the latest nickelback).Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I had a weird scare with my PS4 just now.
I put it into rest mode last night so it would charge the controller while I was asleep. I went to turn it on just now and noticed the orange light wasn't on. I held the PS button on my controller which normally turns the system on. It turned the controller on but the system didn't respond. I went and used the power button on the front of the machine. It made a beep but didn't turn on. I tried it again, and finally it turned on. It went into safe mode and rebooted, and then gave me a warning about not disconnecting the power source while the system is on or else it could cause data loss or break the console.
What I'm assuming happened is that we had a quick power outage while I was asleep. But that's something that usually happens a dozen times a year for various reasons, especially during the summer which is coming up soon. Knowing that could happen any time, should I stop putting the system in rest mode, or do you think the warning message about data loss and system failure is overstated?Comment

But seriously, it just stopped happening about a week ago, don't know why it started, and I don't know why it stopped. There was no specific circumstance that prompted it, definitely not a power outage. I just hope it doesn't happen again, I really thought it may be over the first time it happened.Always looking for solid CF25 Dynasty owners, follow the link to get started >> PS5 P5 Dynasty DiscordComment

I've got my PS4 plugged into a UPS, but I still turn it off if I know a storm is coming or I'm not going to be able to play for several days.Comment

Since then I've pretty much always left mine in Rest Mode. Occasionally, I'll come home to a power surge and have to go through the same thing you did, but it's never been much of a problem. My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague

It's been so long that I've had that issue that I forgot all about it. Happened quite a bit when I first got the system.Comment

Might have been asked and answered, but how you remove that damn "Discover" notification from showing up every time I start the system?
