Holiday weekend and PSN is down? I'm glad that's never happened before....

Anyone else having trouble? I tried both wired and wireless and it passed the internet test but failed the PSN check on both.

Somewhat off-topic - A prototype of what was going to be the SNES CD-Rom (PlayStation) has been shown after almost two and a half decades...I think it's a fake or custom made simply because the Sony name is everywhere while Nintendo's name is missing except for the back of the controller...Don't know about anyone else but it's funny how things go when other things don't work out as planned.

I've had my PS4 since Christmas and have never had any issues with it. Today I've tried to play both MLB The Show 15, and NBA 2K15. Both of them seem to work fine, then I hit the options button and the games will not go any further. The game soundtracks play, but I can't advance to any of the game menu screens. When I try to eject, the games will not eject and I get a "no disc" message. The only way to get the discs out is to shut the PS4 down and they eject just before it powers down. Any ideas what is going on?

I'm not sure about the disc ejecting behavior, but the inability to start the game is probably related to PSN being down. For now, go into Settings - Network and uncheck "Connect to the Internet". Assuming there's not a problem with your disc or something more serious, that will probably allow you to start up The Show.

Haven't heard of this kind of thing happening with 2k15, though. It's an issue with the Show every single time the PSN goes down, however.

So they announce maintenance is scheduled for July 7 and July 9, then they take it down for maintenance on July 3?

This is getting crazy with PSN...It seems the last couple of weeks there have been a few times it goes down. I mean we pay now and the same results happen as PS3.....
