PSN down for 10 hours and somehow people are expecting more than a day extension???

at my job if a customer orders something and we messed up the delivery and it took longer to get the item ordered. We send a replacement with a discount on top of it and expedited delivery at no cost to them

This is what you call good customer servide. Giving people what you lost to start with is just a STFU here is your day deal.

But I guess customer service is not optimal for some

But this isn't Sonys fault. If they gave us say a month for free each time this happened it would encourage those "hackers" to do this more often so they wouldn't have to pay for PS Plus.

I get it, but Sony's service isn't that great (or consistent) to begin with, neither is their customer service. Remember what happened to that fellow OSer who had his account stolen and Sony gave him the middle finger? Or how they handled that hacking situation a few years ago?



This time it wasn't their fault. But when PSN was offline multiple times for apparently no reason, they didn't give extensions.



And I'm not even talking about making a "possessed console" that spits discs and sounds like a jet engine...

It is Sonys fault for not investing on a better infrastructure. They might not prevent it but no reason why it should last 10 hours plus.

And this seems to happen to Sony alot more.

If they did not charge for ps plus then this would be a moot point. Once you charge you cannot pass the buck

It happens to Microsoft, Steam and any website. There's not a lot they can do to stop this kind of thing.

No one ever said it does not happen to other places but Sony seems to take more of it and for longer periods of time. Those are FACTS.

No one can defend the fact that Sony has done nothing to improve the network after charging customers now. I did not expect a month free of psn plus. But replacing what I lost is just a get over it attitude.

Just my opinion as someone who works in customer service company.

Neither PSN or XBL is what they should be and while PSN may go down here and there, im pretty sure that XBL isn't far behind if at all and going back to last gen, im even more sure that XBL went down several times during that generation.

Should BOTH networks be vastly improved? Hell yeah.
Is it going to happen? Probably not.

Either accept what it is or don't play online and thus save the $50 for yourself.

So I wonder if Sony could ever outdo themselves with Rocket League being a PS+ game. Talk about jackpot. Hope we get more titles like that down the road. Seems smart in Sony to invest in the "little engines that could" like RL

I bought the Golds recently and couldn't disagree w/ you more. Make sure you have them on the right way and get your sound settings correct.

Yea, sounds like he has them on backwards. That or his mouth is on the back of his head.
