I think this ps4.5 thing is just a rumor because out side of the new 3ds when has a system ever had a new stronger version ever been made before? Its always just been smaller versions of systems like the ps3 slim, super slim, ps2 slim etc. But I have a few questions. 1 How much does a ps4 cost now? I know I paid 400 as I got it day 1 but I forgot if it has had a price cut or not yet. 2 have there been more rumors about how much this ps4.5 may cost? Last question would this upscale games to 4k?

I am not talking about bundles and special prices though and I said ps4 not ps3. What is the office price for a ps4 right now? Is it still 400 or did it get a price cut to go down to 350, 300 etc? Sorry I did say ps3 but I meant to say ps4.

Come on, this isn't some random rumor being put on Pastebin. Devs were freely talking about this at GDC and now there's been way to many legit sources confirming the existence of this for it not to be true.

It was only a matter of time before this was done in the console space and the move to x86 architecture makes it easier than ever.

Us gamers are some of the most fickle and entitled people around. Sure to be some hand-wringing and "outrage", especially from the Internet minority. Eventually, it will subside though and this will prove to be a very successful venture.

Oh ok I just wonder if this ps4.5 thing comes out if maybe the regular ps4 will go down to like 250-300. Yes I already have a ps4 but I tend to have bad luck with systems breaking so it wouldn't surprise me if my ps4 where to break at some point.

I don't have a 4k TV yet but if I did I would maybe buy a 4k ps4 because it may be cheaper then other 4k players kind of like how ps3 was cheaper then other bluray players when it come out. Plus game should look a little better on the ps4.5.

I haven't heard any thing about developers talking about it and the whole point of a consoles is that when you buy a system you have what you need and don't need to upgrade or are not losing any thing by not upgrading and if they do something like this it is making it to much like a PC. I think you are going to piss off a lot of people. I can tell you right now if they do something like this once ps5 comes out I am not going to buy the system day 1 and in stead I will want a few years to make sure they don't come out with ps5.5 or something. Why buy a ps5 right away and pay more when just like 2 years later we are going to get a upgrade stronger system in ps5.5 that may cost the same as the ps5 did? Sony is dominating the consoles and doing something like this I think you are just taking a chances at pissing of people. Why take that chances? Just want sony and do a ps5 in 2 or 3 years.

Love seeing people say 4K without realizing that it's actually 2K, not 4K. Obviously, people just believe what they're told.

Also, PS4.5 is basically cross-gen within the same generation.

It could be that games are still full 1080p but that they can upscale to 4k which would still mean they would look better.
