Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I've pretty much run out of space. Finally went to BB to get a 1TB hard drive and the guys there were clueless.

It's sad with those guys. They're really clueless. I usually just do my research and then go out and buy whatever I need.

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
God playing on stock hard drive on ps4 is terrible. Once you go SSD you cant ever go back to any other drive even SSHD
I am here on Witcher 3 blood and wine and dies in a part where it took like 3 minutes to load back to the spot. On SSD it was in 15 to 20 seconds tops
I put the Samsung SSD on my xbox one and will need to get an ssd for the ps4. I am thinking San Disk 480 gb. Storage not an issue for me as I play like 5 games on PS4 and delete them when I dont rock them much and move on.
Speed of loading and on BO3 Maps is heaven with SSDComment

Why not spend the extra money on a more spacious hard drive so you don't have to delete and reinstall if you change your mind on games in the future?
SSD are wonderful for PC, but I dont think the price is justified for console use, granted, the prices have really come down.Comment

SSD slow way down when nearing capacity.. 480gb might be cutting it close. It's also proven that it doesn't enhance loading times that significantly, atleast on the PC, I would imagine this would be true on consoles.

When you play GTA 5 on ps4 or xb1 and you load story mode it takes like 2 minutes and it has to load to 100 percent bar
When using SSD it takes a 1 minute and like 5 seconds and it starts when load gets to 60 percent
In the Witcher it is stupid fast after a death to load
In BO3 every time I start a public match I am half way into the map running before the rest of my team loads in.
Believe me, anyone telling you the speed difference is not much is lying because it is well worth the speed bump on both ps4 and xb1Comment

I'm probably one of the very few people who just sticks with the console's base hard drive. LOL.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I only have the 2nd on ps3. Its a game I still need to play more of. Its in my backlot of games.
Here's something that im curious about since a lot of other forums seem to be against this but for those of you who only play and own a PS4, are you going to buy Rise of the Tomb Raider on October 11th?
I see so much hate towards this game in other forums and it's a shame because the game is excellent and worth playing in my opinion.
I haven't played rise of the Tomb or the other one that got really good reviews to but I have thought about buying the other one for ps4 has you can get the remaster game for like 20 or less now.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Last gen I did because ps3 you didn't have to have games on the hard drive like you do now. So because of that hard drive spaces gets filled up much faster then the past. It is one of the things I don't like about this gen. Last gen I got a ps3 when it was 500 and never had to get a hard drive for it. This gen with ps4 I paid 400 so 100 less but I am going to have to get a bigger hard drive. So really its not like I paid less really. I don't delete games or trade games in other then maybe sports games because I like to go back from time to time and play something I haven't played in a well. Right now I am down to like 44 GB and that is with only 9 games on the hard drive and I don't normally even get DLC or put music on it or any thing like that but I do have DLC for drive club has the DLC made it like a new game and for batman arkham knight has it is one of my favorite games of all time. So another game maybe 2 and I may be out of space depending on how big those games or 2 are.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I'm right there with ya. Neither storage nor load times have ever been big enough issues for me to spend the extra money. I don't have any problems managing 500gb worth of games, and the difference between 30 seconds and 45 seconds in a loading screen is negligible to me.Last edited by DickDalewood; 07-24-2016, 08:37 AM.Comment
