Bummed about TLG, a few of you guys predicted that was gonna happen though so I already had my guard up for that news, thankfully.

I agree with DieHard's post a few up. I figured they would reimburse people somehow for the mistake. Oh well.

I guess I was already gonna pick it up anyway since I need a PS4. I probably just cancel everything and go to Gamestop.

I'll just say that swapping out a PS4 hard drive is very easy. Just read up on the instructions and you won't have an issue. Using an old hard drive from an older PC is MUCH faster than using a USB stick. Huge difference and highly recommended when backing up the system.

Seems like the Pro, to get full value out of it, needs to be played on a TV with 4K and HDR. My issue with that is some of the crazy crazy input lag times with HDR enabled. I play on a monitor with 11ms input lag. The best input lag according to the post a couple of pages back is in the 20's but most are in the 60's. Forget about playing any shooters online with those numbers.

But even playing The Show with that much input lag....you'll be dropping pitch speed to zero just to be able to hit. Still leaning towards getting the Pro but maybe the time isn't quite right until display technology catches up to what the Pro is trying to accomplish.

I can't argue that full benefit of the Pro is on a 4k HDR display. That is probably accurate.

As far as what the Pro will do for you on 1080p, that seems somewhat subjective. It just depends on what each person values, individually. I reserve judgment until I have it hooked up on my own monitor and I am comparing games like Paragon to my PC, switching back and forth and whatnot.

Regardless, hope it all works out for everybody, either way

Yeah I agree on all counts.

The Tomb Raider devs seem to have stepped up the "gold standard" for "Pro Mode Support" that I hope becomes the norm after awhile.

Input lag does freak me out too. I'm super picky about it

I'm still curious how they're going to try to play this off. Are they just going to have people go in the store and tell them there's no headset? This honestly just got even more interesting for me lol.

It's really unfortunate that this is Best Buy and gamers have so many other benefits through them. It would suck to have this be the leading memory of their customer service going forward.

A few tidbits -

- Not surprised or shocked in regards to Best Buy removing the headset. Seriously, did anyone really believe that you were going to get a brand new headset that releases on Thursday for $160 packed in with the Slim PS4 and Uncharted 4 for only $300? Come on.

- What I am surprised about is TLG being delayed. Truly believed 100% that October 25th was set in stone. December 6th ain't too bad. Only a six week delay but it misses Black Weekend. If they delay it again, they need to just cancel the game or say screw it and for better or for worse, just release it. Really thought that it would have been a better move to try to release the game in early September before all the heavy hitters come out and even if there's bugs/glitches, as long as they're not game breaking, just patch it. At this rate, TLG (and FFXV) will never ever come out. LOL.

- Regarding PS4 PRO and needing a 4K HDR TV.....seeing the difference has to be done in person. You won't notice a damn thing in pictures, videos or streams. Digital Foundry were impressed with the PS4 PRO and they were using an older Panasonic 4K HDR model.

I definitely see what you're saying, my man, and I am not saying you are wrong, but it is hard for me to blame myself for thinking a company like Best Buy would be accurately advertising something. If you go back to the beginning we all seemed to think it was too good to be true, but as DieHard said I figured they would have to own up to their mistake in some way, like maybe throw in a game or a gift card. Instead they just stealth changed the listing without sending any notice or anything to anyone who pre-ordered. Anyway, no harm done. It is what it is.

I just wonder what caused this mix up. Maybe this is gonna be a black friday deal down the road?

Maybe I am naive but it seems kind of shady to sell someone a fake bundle and change the description overnight

This is disappointing for sure but hopefully when the games get here it will all be worth it.

While the trade in value for ps4 may go up when it gets closer to PRO coming out and in till then you could play on the regular ps4 and then see how much of a difference you notice once you get the pro and play those games on the pro compared to the regular ps4.

My base PS4 will be gone a few days or week before I pick up the PRO. I pretty much already know the differences that im getting. After all, Sony increased the GPU (graphics processing unit) while pretty much everything else stays the same so it's pretty obvious what the extra GPU power is going to be used for. Games that look great will simply look greater.

My hope is that developers/publishers follow Square Enix / Crystal Dynamics in regards to Rise of the Tomb Raider...three different options that can be changed in game on the fly??? Yes please.

And on a side note, im actually hoping other companies follow Square Enix...that has to be a first since the great days of SNES and SE being known as Squaresoft. LOL.

I hope they don't follow Square, take out some of those bells and whistles and lock me in at 60. Just saying "the hardware is more powerful, we'll see how far we can go" is how we end up with so many unoptimized ports on PC. I'll need to see it before I praise them.

In a way, it might be a good thing. If the Pro came out and was like this behemoth of a difference and made vanilla PS4 obsolete, Sony would have risked really fracturing and alienating a large amount of their userbase.

Like I said before, the Pro is harmless. Nobody is getting left out of anything, nobody is getting left behind. It's a "bells and whistles" type deal for anyone who may be interested in that kind of stuff.
