I think the hackers got me.

50 pounds had been charged to my account and purchases made on a sub account off of my main account from some botter type email address. I don't share my account with anyone or have any friends that do this kind of stuff.

I've since changed all my passwords, removed Paypal as a payment option and contacted Paypal and Sony Customer Support.

Anyone have any experience with this?

Do you reuse passwords? Turn on two factor authentication right now. Work with Sony but be careful with PayPal. Sony bans for charge backs. Not sure if it works the same way for PayPal disputes. Sony will likely credit your playstation wallet, but probably won't refund the money back to your PayPal account.

I've had someone access my account and set their PS4 as the primary so I couldn't access some of my content. Luckily I caught it before they purchased anything.

I changed all my passwords, my PSN one was always different than my Email and Paypal and doesn't include any names or anything. Turned on authentication. I've scanned my computer for phising. I definitely did not have my PSN on lock down with my Paypal attached and no security questions. Not good on my part. Thankfully only 50 down the drain if I don't get a refund it could have been much worse.

I've had this happen to me as well. Why do they make it so easy for someone to do this? Why not check the person's IP address or at least send you an email confirmation before deactivating or something? And the kicker is you have to wait 6 MONTHS to reverse this! This is the most idiotic and infuriating thing I have ever experienced with a gaming console.

Try using PS cards instead of putting Paypal/CC info out there.

I wonder the same thing. This morning I woke up and my PS4 was in the off state. I normally put it in standby mode and it was like that before I went to bed. Woke up this morning and noticed the orange standby light was not on and my ps4 was off. I tried to turn it on via my DS4 but no dice. I have my DS4 plugged into my ps4 also. Had to hit the power button to get my ps4 to turn on.

I tried to put my PS4 in standby mode and the light on the PS4 flashes orange for a little bit and just turns off.

Is anyone else experiencing the issue?

I think someone tried to access my account over the weekend like tried to hack it but the 2 step thing stopped them because I turned my system on & I was asked to update/change my password & enter the code sent to me via text message..

So I'd recommend to those who haven't activated the 2 step verification feature to do so because it appears it prevented me from being hacked so if you haven't used this yet I'd advise u too it's so worth it!!

As for update I was on b4 work this morning & never noticed an update so highly unlikely. Check your system info & it should tell u if update is on 4.0 or higher if it's not 4.0 then it got an update...

I'm not having the issues that you describe, I had my PS4 on standby last night though

Ill have to check when I get home. Im able to power on my system by hitting the power button but it doesn't seem to go into rest mode.

I think I will try to rebuild the database when I get home from work tonight to see if it works. Still have the replacement plan for my ps4 at gamestop so worse case I will exchange it for a new one if I have to.

So when I clicked onto Vue app yesterday, it had me re-login... After doing that, it had me change my PS Network password.

Anyone else with Vue have this happen?

Just sold my release day PS4.... . Going to be picking up the Pro in a little over a month. Think I'll be able to find one at BB if I didn't preorder?

So I may be more likely to get a 4k tv now. I have been on a wanting list to get into a low income apartment and sounds like I may be able to get into one soon. The thing keeping me from getting a 4k tv really was still living at home and being in a room that is to small to really go much bigger then like 40 inch.

Can you still preorder? I am not sure. I got a ps4 day one but that was also with a preorder. How much did you get for your ps4 that you sold?
