    Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion

I thought there weren't any 4TB hard drives manufactured to fit the PS4 ?

I remember there being e-discussion about a firmware update that helped support the size, but the thickness of the actual hard drives was a problem.

Have you went through your Capture Gallery ? That's the first place I look when trying to clear some extra space. I'm always recording all my games in the off chance that something cool happens.

edit: Nevermind. I just read EG's post..

I would think that sometime in the near future we would see 4 or 5TB drives that would fit in the PS4, wouldn't you guys?

I'll probably end up being the only gamer who stays with a 500GB SSD for the entire generation. LOL.

No idea how you manage...mine was filled within a few months of launch and I had to upgrade..

Stopped collecting/keeping games starting last generation mainly because doing so meant that I'll have games and I won't play them. They just sit there and collect dust. Even now, I have three Xbox One disc games and one PS4 disc game and all im hyped to play is Forza on Friday. This is a bad habit which is why I try to play one game at a time until I complete it, trade it in and then move on to the next game.

Only games that will stay on the SSD once I get the PRO will be The Witcher III, the expansions, The Last of Us Remastered and about eight or so PSN/Indie games. Counting all of this, I still have over 200GB left of space. Unless my best of the best and favorite games go on sale for $10 digitally, I shouldn't have any issues because even I get into the 20's of PSN/Indie games, they don't take up many GB's so barring something unforeseen, I should be good until PS5. LOL.

            Yes, one hundred percent.

Or, even better, I hope Sony one day lets PS4's use external hard drives like one. So cheap and effective.

We can only hope. This will happen when we can change our PSN ID.

I don't think they'll ever change that. I personally don't need it, but I know many who do...

You can change your XBL tag for $10... way too expensive but still an option, you'd think Sony would consider something like that.

Too expensive but f'ing brilliant. Hell, I paid to do it and I would give Sony my money to be able to do so as well.

To be honest, I'm happy it's $10...discourages the little children from trolling and being jack***es and then quickly changing their names so you can't find them.

That's a loss for Sony, IMO. That could have been a great title to show something off with

There's no HDD over 2TB that will fit inside the PS4, so you have to do the Nyko Data Bank or just use a SATA cable.

I have a 2TB drive and have 71 games installed, I'm still over 850GB left. I have no clue how you have a 2TB drive filled, delete some games you aren't playing.

SATA cable? Never heard of it. Wow 71 games is a lot and I have no idea how you could have 71 games and only have used like 1.15 TB. With my ps4 I am down to like 26 GB on the 500 GB and that is with only like 11 games. With 71 games I would think it would take at least 6 TB in less you have really really small games on there.

It is basically a cable used to externally hook up an internal hard drive. I would post a picture of mine but my phone is smashed to hell. People use them to hook up SSDs to the One, and whatnot. You can do sata-sata, sata-usb, etc
