I haven't done that. Makes me nervous.



It took me almost two hours to download For Honor at 12 gb with 30 mbs. That's still a pretty bad relationship between real download speed and actual psn download speed.

Don't be nervous. It's easy to do, takes 30 seconds. And if anything happens just re-run your internet setup and choose easy setup and it'll put your settings back.

Worked for me, at least with MLBTS 1.08 update. Turned on my console this afternoon, and I got a notification that it was installed at 5-something this morning. NBA2K17 Prelude 1.01 and Madden 1.XX (may have been during beta) come to mind too. It worked during the Beta too, for numerous games.

Speaking of the Beta, my console even installed the official 4.0 without me having to go and manually uninstall it. It can be debated whether that is good or bad tho, lol.

Yeah I know and I have the setting turned on yet it never does download any thing while in standby. I am not sure if I am the only one or not that has had the problem of that not working.

Same for me Smallville. I have all my automatic download boxes checked for rest mode but I have never had anything automatically installed for me ever. The Show patch didn't begin downloading and installing until I booted the system up from rest mode.

My current PS4 is a refurbished one from groupon (Sony) purchased May 2015. One year warranty gone and it shuts off on its own every now and then.

I just pray it holds until Black Friday and maybe GameStop will have a better trade in credit for the Pro. The slim sounds good but I want to get myself ready for the 4K [emoji30]

Same for me Smallville. I have all my automatic download boxes checked for rest mode but I have never had anything automatically installed for me ever. The Show patch didn't begin downloading and installing until I booted the system up from rest mode.

5ghz is a ton faster but the range is actually much worse

Then you've got nothing to worry about for sure. My 5ghz network works about 5 rooms over in my house but after that it becomes awful.

And it's whisper quiet too. Even playing 2k17. Last year 2k made the ps4 sound like a rocket blasting off. The slim is quiet, and cool.

If I could use the x1 controller on it wirelessly then I'd be set.

Yeah, I'm not sure why it's hit or miss for some, and I know this only shows what time they were installed, but I was definitely sleeping at 5:30a, and at work at 1:45p. I'm not sure about twitch.

Snagged my Slim today from GameStop. The wifi is DEFINITELY faster. My living room PS4 is always fast since it's hard wired but the man cave wifi has typically been garbage. When I got this puppy set up I immediately started downloading the Bioshock Collection (two separate downloads) and Madden, and it was downloading all three of those at once faster than my old PS4 downloaded a single game.

Also, LOVE the look and matte finish. Not that the OG PS4 was hard to travel with but this system will be even better.

Probably a weird question.

I upgraded my Ps4 hard drive immediately after purchasing the launch model. I honestly cannot remember where I put the original hard drive.

If I buy a slim, could I easily swap the drives?

I ask because most stores won't allow a trade in of a PS4 with a different drive than its original.

You can swap out the hard drive but you have to reformate the hard drive. So you would still have to back up your games and files.

How would you trade it in if you need the new to get the hard drive?

I'd buy the slim first and then sell the launch.
