However game mode eliminates the ability to USE the interpolation which i love to use with the tvs motion blur...

Either way Im also interested in the sonyX850D along with the aforementioned KS8000.

But motion blurs a BIG deal lag is more about pin point accuracy which ive never had an issue with currently

any tv like this size has to be delivered and i like a very instantaneous purchase not having to dislike something and wait for it to be returned lol

If you notice the Samsung J6200 sits right in the middle of the best motion blur TV's

I own this tv. Its absolutely crazy. Its a 120hz panel and can interpolate 30fps and 60ps content so average ps4 and xbox one games look like there on PC running super smooth 60fps. The soap opera effect doesnt RUIN it for video games as it does for movies, it actually enhances it.

So my dilemma is going 4k while im still quite happy with the one i have
Samsung KS8000 which was recommended to me here is WAY down the list of motion blur tests

That's cool, but the selling point of 60 fps is responsiveness, not how it looks. Even if it looks better than 30 fps, it still controls like a 30 fps game

Some people think lag is one thing and not the actual term

we are talking input lag which means the time it takes for the input to register to what you see on the tv. If you are playing an online game like BF or COD or TF and you run around and shoot an enemy the input lag means the difference between hitting your target and getting killed. Play a game like MLB the show and hitting or pitching will show you what input lag is all about

with 19ms input lag I can swing on point and hit my spots in the pitch icon all the time

With input lag in the 60's you have to anticipate pressing early to hope it registers in the middle. It is not instant like it should.

If you do not notice it then you will when you use a screen that has little input lag or a ben q monitor

Im only concerning myself with the way things transition on screen (no ghosting effects etc)

that for me motion blur is just horrible on my eyes have a HUGE problem with it.

so the lag MIGHT be on my set but is negated by the smoothness of the visual.

If i move my thumbstick i experience no discernible lag what i DO notice is trails of movement

you cant see input lag you feel input lag..But if you are use to using interpolation then you will never have an issue because you only know high input lag

No chance you have success in online multi player gaming with interpolation.

Now if you just play racing games and slow adventure games then you might be able to not be bothered with it

But it is there. Why do you think all tv reviews nowadays have input lag scores on their reviews

Samsung use to have horrible input lag even in game mode and they took a hot of heat from customers and now they release awesome gaming sets

              I understand and respect this.

I use this tv for pc gaming as well on a nvidia gtx970(not the best anymore by any stretch but still way decent) and ill downsample with it and as far as lag with say doom I never had an issue i headshot those demons like nothin LOl

Then again i dont play online i(m personally against online and have been for awhile its ruins single player campaigns new Gears is like what 8 hrs? smh!!!!!!!!)

Prob my best bet is samsung since at least the HDR content wont have lag

But im going to see how much this ps4 pro doesnt do for reg 1080p.

              for example for SPORTS gaming

Like how will pes 2017 look or play or will i HAVE to have a 4k tv to take advantage of any ps4 pro advantages in order to play pes 2017

BUT if it downscales to 1080p from 1440p internally? then im good all i want im happy with the down scaling my nvdia does onto my 1080p 120 hz set

There are screen shots going around from downsized screen shots from a Pro and PS4 which shows improvement in 1080p but that was also from a 4K hdr tv and until the vast majority claim they are actually playing games on 1080p tvs and seeing a game that was already out prior to ps4 pro and it looks that much better then what they had on base ps4 I wont retract my statement that the jump is not great on 1080p sets.

XBOX ONE S internally upscales all games to 4K and you can see the difference when playing games...Is it incredible? No but is better then what the standard xbox does which was not up to par

The PS4 is already a great gaming machine with many of the games already at 1080p so resolution will not be something that sneaks up on you as most of their games are already 1080p

A PS4 Pro patched game can downsample to 1080p which can cause input lag when things appear on screen. The Pro will upscale all games to 4K just like the S and to me if a game comes out like TF2 patched with 1080p default rez and upscaled by PS4 to 4K like the S does on a 4K set it will look awesome and there will be no need to downsample

Interesting but the j6200 over all tv score is only 6.9 compared to the KS8000 and its 8.3 and I find the whole 60 FPS to be so darn overrated it makes me sick.

So if you could pick 1 game that has not been confirmed yet to get pro patch what game would it be? I would say batman Arkham knight. Knight is already one of the best looking games this gen and I can hardly imagine just how awesome it would look in 4k and with HDR. Heck I am most likely not going to even get a pro and still have a 1080p TV but I do think I am going to get a 4k TV soon and even if I don't have the pro if I get a 4k TV it would be awesome to just have HDR for knight.
