My PS3 will get plenty of playing time now that college football is upon us.

With the continued improvement of the Madden series, it's becoming difficult for me to go back to the PS3 & 360 to play NCAA.

I think the EA access ship has sailed for Sony. If they take it they will come out looking dumb when they turned it down because it went against their crappy PS NOw service. Changing grounds will make sony admit that their PS NOw is not good and they should have gone with EA access. But sony wont admit to that and they will try and shove PS NOW to smart tv's microwaves, smartphones, PC

I think PS Now has/had potentialy. For me personally, I think they charge a little bit too much. I think they would make the money back over time with added subs if they lowered the price a lot, made it dirt cheap.

How does it go against PSNow, just because money that could be going to PSNow is going to EA Access instead? Because 10 hour trials with early access and free older games from a single publisher in the current generation isn't really in competition with the PSNow service as far as content goes. Unless they added PS4 games to it, but when I last used it looked to be only PS3 games.

Unless we ever get current generation versions of NCAA, CH 2K8 or even APF 2K8, I won't be retiring the PS3 anytime soon.

Will EA Access ever come to the PlayStation 4? The $4.99 per month subscription program is only available on Xbox One currently. It let’s players have early access to EA games, and it offers a Vault of older games for free download.

Gamespot spoke at length with EA COO Peter Moore about a lot of things going on within the company. It’s a great read, for what it’s worth, and you can check it out in full by hitting the source link below.

When Gamespot prodded Moore about whether or not PlayStation 4 users will ever see EA Access, the COO got rather cagey. Here’s his first response.

“Doesn’t matter. It’s on Xbox One, and those customers love it. We have analytics on everything these days, and subscriber satisfaction rates are through the roof. EA Access customers get to play more, because of the Vault, they get to play early, ahead of general release date, and they get to pay less because of the discounts it offers.”

When Gamespot suggested that, surely, business would be even better if EA Access was added to another console, Moore responded curtly.

“But it’s not. It’s on Xbox One.”

Then things went quickly.

I’m curious about what you’re saying. Is this part of a deal with Microsoft now?

[Interrupting] Do you want to talk about this?

Well Sony talked about it, ask them [laughs]. There’s not much left for me to say.

Sony did talk about EA Access once before. They said it wasn’t a good value. Here’s the exact quote from back then.

“We evaluated the EA Access subscription offering and decided that it does not bring the kind of value PlayStation customers have come to expect…

…We don’t think asking our fans to pay an additional $5 a month for this EA-specific program represents a good value to the PlayStation gamer.”

It doesn’t look like either company has any plans to bring EA Access to the PlayStation brand. We’ll see if that changes in the coming years as this console generation wears on


Maybe if Sony did not call it a bad value for their gamers, it might be on PS4 by now but 3 years in almost it seems unlikely to come. If it does is PS4 doing the asking this time and not the other way around.

With Slim and Scorpio coming and the fact that EA is the only company that is not shy to show they are in bed with MS due to all their games being shown on XB1 for sports it is safe to be that EA was not happy with Sony's response to the offer.

It is very safe to bet that EA access has been a huge success for EA and MS and Sony could have benefited more if they did not speak on it like that which seems Sony did it more for the dislike they have of EA and MS being tied at the waist over anything else

Notice that most all companies jumped to PS4 now except one that has remained loyal to the green side....

I wish I had EA access on my PS4....

Increasing the hard drive space also increases the price and I think that it would be better to release at $400 with 500GB as opposed to $450 or higher with 1TB or more. The slim and Neo could in theory cancel each other depending on when they get released. As far as I know, Sony is skipping Gamescom in regards to having a press conference but will most likely be at TGS. Sony would be stupid to skip TGS. They have a lot of Japanese games that they can show off. Difference though between Slim and Scorpio is that the Scorpio was about 18 months away when they announced it at E3. Doesn't matter if the Slim took away the hype or whatnot from Scorpio because of the 15 or so month difference between the Slim being released and Scorpio. Besides, things are different when you're in second place as opposed to first place. If released at the same time, Neo would overshadow the PS4 Slim. Why buy a Slim when on the same day or close to it, you can buy a Neo? Huge difference between being released at the same time compared to a 15 month gap.



Yeah, PS4 can get smaller but does it really need a Slim? I don't think that it does. There not being any rumors about a PS4 Slim makes me think if it happens, it will be next year. Agree in regards to them releasing the different hard drive variations at the same time.



Gamescom is actually pretty big. Sony skips it because it's too close to E3 so no reason to have a press conference. Don't really know why Microsoft is not having a press conference this year but at the same time, they will both have games at the event. Sony is heavily and mainly PSVR focused. TGS is different because of the culture and the games that will be shown. PSX is mainly a fan event. It's not meant to be an E3 or anything. Any surprises at PSX is basically just an added bonus.

The Neo Slim will probably come 6-8 months after the Neo lol. After the Neo drops to $400 (if it even does).

I really wish they would move away from PS Now.

I think PS now is just bs. To have to pay to play games that you may already have is just stupid and just to rent them at that. But I am also one that doesn't care much for BC in the first place because I keep all my games and systems and when I want to go back and play a old game I just play the old game on the old system. But I know there are people that don't do that or don't want to have a lot of systems hooked up at once. But really BC should be real BC or nothing.

TGS will have plenty of games. Ni No Kuni 2, FFXV, Persona 5, TLG, Nier: Automata, FFVII Remake, Dragon Quest XI, Gravity Rush 2, Ni-Oh, Yakuza 6, Shenmue III, etc. There's definitely more than what I just listed. Sony will have more games at TGS than they did at E3 and Gamescom combined.

The base PS2 was/is smaller overall than the base PS4. Plus the PS2 slim and super slim were small and flat because they removed the slot for the HDD which was pretty big and about half the space of the base PS2 console.

Gamescom is big in Europe. Personally, I love all the shows but I do wish they would do press conferences at each one but I understand why they don't. Sony didn't have a press conference last year at Gamescom and won't again this year but that could be because of the planned PlayStation Meeting which is an overall event as opposed to just regional. Last year, Sony had a press conference at Paris Games Week which is mid to late October.

Sony will mainly be showing the games for PSVR at Gamescom as they try to sell consumers on the games that will be available at launch and before the end of 2016.

Nintendo is completely different and honestly, I don't even count them anymore. Nintendo has no interest in competing with Sony and Microsoft and thus, they do their own thing. Nintendo will probably have their booth and games at Gamescom and TGS.

I don't know how likely it is that the NEO could be smaller then the normal ps4 but yeah it would be cool and could help to keep the price down. I wonder with xboxone Scorpio being a lot more powerful then xboxone how the system will be size wise compared to the xboxone? I did see a list of games that will be at Tokyo game show but I think most of them are not really that big and I don't know if we will get any surprises or not. Well to me its still sounds odd that Tokyo game show is not going to have conferences from all 3 because it used to be easily the 2nd most popular show but it sounds like consoles are dying in Japan. Also it sounds odd hearing so much about Paris game show now because up in till last year I had never heard of the thing but it sounds like it is becoming more popular and becoming more like how the Tokyo game show used to be or something.


Well I know that Nintendo doesn't really do normal stuff but I think the last few years they skipped Tokyo game show and I think I heard they where going to skip this years to and Nintendo also does those directs now. Also I think I heard they may not have a conferences at gamescom this year and even if they do with the wii u being died and with it being just before they are most likely going to show the NX I am not really sure what they are going to have to show.
