Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Yeah it's up to the devs to get the most out the PRO. I do have games that get those benefits such as NBA 2K & BF1. Also it's a good time to upgrade as I'll be getting trade in credit for my PS4 towards the PRO if I choose to do so.Their is definitely benefit with some games, nothing with others, but personally if I had a 1080p set I'd still get. For the same two reasons you mentioned. There's been enough there showing some tangible benefits at 1080p. At the same time, there's some disappointing aspects and missed opportunities that hopefully become more seldom as the Pro matures.

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Watching this review (and reading the comments, more so) makes me wonder about the expectations vs reality factor of the PS4 Pro and average consumers.
I feel like this guy, and a lot of people, don't realize that the system, and really both Xbox and PS4 in general, are heavily bottlenecked/handicapped by a very crappy and obsolete CPU and the RAM. The RAM upgrade in the PRO is nice, I guess, but kind of a novelty. The GPU power increase is legit in every way but the system still has anchors holding it back that exist on PS4 and Xbone systems.
It's definitely not a new generation, it's a harmless upgrade for those who want it."Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I played Tomb Raider on Xbox as well, which is why I got TF2, but I may just end up getting Tomb Raider tonight cuz those videos you guys have been posting of it running at an unlocked frame rate...good gawd, it looks sexy.
I'd hate to have to choose, my friend lol. You could look at it as a win win where you can't make the wrong choice or if you're like me, a lose lose cuz no matter which one I pick I'll always be wondering about the other one.
Grabbed Ratchet earlier today too. Went through my library and saw I also had both Infamous games to go along with Last of Us and the BF1/TF2 bundle. Might be good...or might grab Mordor and 2K still lol.

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Some mixed signals from people on whether it helps the current year's game right now - theoretically the extra power could bump up some of the scenes that drop below 30 FPS (some cutscenes, especially things like the walkoff HR). Tough to know without seeing it for myself.
But yeah, I know what you mean - If Show 17 has significant Pro enhancements, that's probably when I'll purchase the system.Comment

Yea I hear you. I know it's not 60fps when batting. It's extremely obvious. I rather the pro version be fully 60fps.

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Currently playing Titanfall 2 and the campaign is real good. I don't play multi-player but the single player campaign is a game of the year candidate. Played ROTTR last year and it's great. Will play again at the end of the year on PS4 PRO. I suggest waiting until Black Friday and get them both for the price of one.Originally posted by NYGiants4NaticTF2 or Tomb Raider....Which should I get? I beat TR on xbox one but want that 4Kness

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Honest, I'm kinda burned out listening to output lag already. I play shooters all the time, all the time and my game results never change, I only get better. I just bought a new 4k set that has better input lag then my last set and currently I did better on my old set. The input lag talk lately seems to be talked too much imo. Just play the games and stop worry about this all the time. Play and have fun.
