Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Actually released yesterday and no, nothing but stability. There were a ton of DNS issues last night but ended up being AT&T's DNS servers went down. Once I switched back to Google, I was fine.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Sold it for $200 with a controller. Probably could have gotten more but felt comfortable with the buyer.
Someone called me last week offering to buy it, but it sounded a little shady. I told him I'd only sell it if he met me at city hall in the safe zone. Never heard back from him.
Also sold my Wii U a couple weeks ago for $225 along with a couple games and an extra controller. I was really surprised someone actually took that offer.

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I tried to install Linux on it, but was too stupid in figuring out how to do it at the time.

"You will not be able to upload external assets with your PlayStation 4 mods, but you will be able to use any assets that come with the game, as most mods do."
But most mods do use external assets. Like one of the biggest points of modding is new content. It's better than nothing, but no external assets is crippling.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Well, the vast majority of mods on Nexus in just the top 100 most endorsed files use external assets. Even mods that you could say only use vanilla assets still use external assets to fix things like scripts and meshes. The majority of the mods I would personally recommend use external assets.
What's going to be most interesting to me is people's thoughts on Skyrim today, not after a few hours, but a dozen. I've tried twice in the past year to play it again, but it didn't keep my interest for long. You can certainly make it look amazing on PC (well beyond what I've seen of the Special Edition) even with just a handful of texture mods, Vivid Weathers, and an ENB. You can add variety and depth with new armors, weapons, magic, perk, immersion, animations, dialogue, combat, crafting, and alchemy overhauls, quests, new areas, and humongous mods like Legacy of the Dragonborn. To say the Skyrim modding rabbit hole goes deep would be an understatement.
Despite a Skyrim folder that ballooned to 80GB with nearly 200 mods, the puddle I was playing in still felt shallow and the world not all that interesting. While the strengths are different, The Witcher 3's are probably partly to blame, at least for me. I can't imagine playing vanilla Skyrim again, but a lot of people will be soon.
...
Thoughts from a mod author:
That's such a severe restriction I'm not sure what the point was. That means no meshes, textures, audio, music, voiced dialogue, or scripts. All of those are considered external assets. It's literally telling you PS4 can only have mods that are fully functional as single ESP files. That's definitely not "as most mods do".Pretty much the example of "how mods should work" being played out right here. We're looking at what Sony was willing to allow vs how more than 90% of actual mods actually work.
There's also still unknowns with mods and the Special Edition:
I hope this isn't the same "most mods" as in "most mods for Skyrim will work in Skyrim SE".Time will tell I guess. All we still have is Pete Hines saying that you need to resave the mod in the new CK before it will work in SSE.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

With black Friday only about a month and a half or so from coming out I would just want. I would hate to get the system and then maybe miss a good bundle or something only like a month later.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I think the hackers got me.
50 pounds had been charged to my account and purchases made on a sub account off of my main account from some botter type email address. I don't share my account with anyone or have any friends that do this kind of stuff.
I've since changed all my passwords, removed Paypal as a payment option and contacted Paypal and Sony Customer Support.
Anyone have any experience with this?
Happened to me a while back. Someone bought NBA2k16 and a lot of coins for the game.
Paypal reimbursed my money. I did not get banned by Sony. They originally said they would put $ back in my wallet and I said no that wasn't an option as the money wasn't in my wallet.
They did keep saying to be "more careful" with my login stuff and I (as polite as I could) say that I NEVER give out info and my password is pretty unique and that they have an issue with their security, not me.
Anyways paypal came through and I also removed paypal from account.
Make sure since it's now available FINALLY, to implement 2 step verification.Joshua:
