Best buy sent me the email stating the pro is ready to be picked up. At the bottom though it says "Available Thursday Nov. 11"

I'm going to have to call and find out if I can pick it up today or will have to wait until tomorrow. Usually Best Buy doesn't send this type of email until the item is ready to be picked up.

I can't contain myself.

They're just letting you know your item is indeed in store, they've put their hands on it, and it will be ready for you tomorrow. You're not walking out of the store with it a day early. That's why they list the pickup day. It's for you and the clerks to know when the product will be released to you.

First video of anything PS4 hard drive related I have seen yet

They plugged an SSD into the Pro and compared vs the stock drive for 4 games

ROTTR showed almost a 50 percent improvement in load times , however for the other 3 games the improvement was much less (around 20-25 percent). Also, this video does not have comparisons to these drives working in a vanilla PS4 as well so no direct Pro vs Vanilla load times yet, not that I can find at least.

so im trading in my slim for the pro whats the best way to insure that my psn tag can be used on another macvhine

do i just uncheck "use as primary" ?

or is it more to it than that?

Yes. Deactivate as primary is the best way to ensure that. I also reinstalled and reinitialized the hard drive, wiping anything to do with me on it.

Im ready for the PRO

it might not do everything i want
but the extra hardrive space(me being a digital download only guy now) and the fact that SOME games will look better that are NOT on pc (games that are sony exclusive)

Only prob is i know what will happn

having the pro will make me want to try out all games when i dont have the time to or the need to just the want to LOL

but the extra hardrive space(me being a digital download only guy now) and the fact that SOME games will look better that are NOT on pc (games that are sony exclusive)

Only prob is i know what will happn

having the pro will make me want to try out all games when i dont have the time to or the need to just the want to LOL

I know what you mean. I still need to finish GOW and have BF1, TF2, and COD to balance on my PS4 and often struggle to find the time to play them.

I can't stop checking UPS today. My Pro is currently in Kentucky and is still on track to make it to Oregon tomorrow thankfully. I hope it gets here before lunch so I can run home and start the transfer process, unless anyone knows of an easier way to transfer my data. I am all ears.

Well kinda sucks got the phone call from my GameStop a bit ago and they aren't doing midnight release for the pro, instead they are opening at 9am instead of 10am tomorrow. Guess it's wait til the morning now

Its not a hot product like a new console...Is a ps4 with beefed up gpu for 4K owners for the most part. I am sure GameStop will have them ready at launch but reserves are not high at gamestop to warrant a mid night launch even at best buy

Anyone know if cod infinite warfare is optimized for ps4 pro other than 4k? I'll be rolling with 1080p and would like to know. Also, anyone see anything on NBA 2k17?

Why do people still think that digital games take more space then disk games? They take up the same amount this gen has ever game has to be installed to the hard drive no matter what.

While even though I am not playing on getting the PRO I am still interested to see impressions from the people that do get one and to see more screen shoots comparing the games with HDR and with out HDR.

Based on what I have heard so far it seems that CoD didn't get huge love for 1080p mode, I think it just has some supersampling going on, but that was a game I planned on testing tonight first or second. Theres not a DF analysis vid for this game up yet for the Pro. I know one review said it looks "analogous" at 1080p on the Pro.

Falls in line with the "enhancements will vary strongly game to game and are entirely dependent on the developer" line.
