HDR will still be active for games that have it, even if it's in game mode. When the game starts, you'll see a drop down display from the top saying an HDR video is playing when it is first activated. But just as sroz said, if playing a game, you aways want game mode on otherwise the input lag is really bad.

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Sorry to say, but I'm a little underwhelmed by the KS8000 and PS4 Pro pairing. Not sure why, but I feel like I'm not getting the full experience you guys have gotten. I don't see that much of a difference between between WD2 or 2K17 when playing on the vanilla vs the pro. While watching Netflix in 4K through the tv app is amazing, I'm not feeling in awe while playing on the Pro. Also, it seems as if 2K17 isn't running at 60fps. Can someone please post their display settings from the PS4 Pro and the KS8000 TV? I'm using the HDMI cable that came with the pro and have connected through HDMI ports 1 and 3. Would be much appreciated guys.
Yea you're either doing something wrong if you don't see a difference in native 4K HDR while playing NBA2k 17. First make sure you turn on UHD color before anything. Once it says playing HDR on the top left then raise backlight to 20, Smart LED to high, sharpness at zero, and color space at native. If after doing this you don't see any difference you might need some glasses lol.

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Here comes a stupid question. Does the Pro really only make the game better and not the cutscenes? I was playing the campaign on the new Call of Duty game it and seemed to me the actual gameplay looked much better than the cutscenes.

This is how I was thinking it would look. My game looks gorgeous when stopped, but I'm not seeing the fluidity I see in this video when there's movement.#HeatNation

It's not that I don't see a difference, I just think I had my expectations a little too high lol. That, and I believe I have a misunderstanding of what 60FPS means.

Go remove game mode on your tv and use standard mode and auto motion plus on ON then let me know if that makes you happyComment

Guess I'm losing some of the soap opera effect by watching it on my phone, it just looks similar to how it looks on my TV at home on game mode. Did not know this video is with interpolation turned on. Don't even know how you'd play like that. The input lag would be well over 100ms. Might as well turn shot timing to auto....

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Just saw this interesting thing about the pro. I don't really know how to describe this has I don't know a lot about tech.

That Batman game seems to be one that did not turn off the extra power of the console which allowed the game to run raw and improve the fps but graphics or resolution is locked due to no patch being used
Sony wont do it unless Pro sells a lotComment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
All that shows is that DF wants Sony to stop catering to the ps4 vanilla fanbase and allow all games old and new to use the full power of the ps4.

If that is true how long do you think sony would wait before they do that?Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Best thing PRO fans should want is the PRO to sell like crazy and continue selling and producing...That is when Sony might consider it but I doubt it because at that point we will not care about old games....Comment
