I guess what it comes down to is if you're willing to make a few concessions on performance to save a few hundred dollars.

I wouldn't, but that's just me. I know there are those who are ok with that.

Yeah, really like the KS8000, but if I can get a M series for $600, I like the cost savings there.

Keep in mind at Best Buy, if you can get their credit card, this would qualify for 0% for 24 months.

So looks like my TV stand for my KS8000 55 inch TV should be here today so hopefully I can final get the TV set up today. I have school in till around 3 and then have what ever home work to do. I am on vacation this week but do have school today and wed. I don't like to do home work and even more so on days that I am off of both school and work. So I am going to try to get most of my home work if not all of it done tonight so I don't have to do any on Tuesday and going to watch tonight's NFL game. So I am not sure when I am going to have time to put the stand together so I can use the new TV. I may have to wait and do it tomorrow morning we will see.

For you gentlemen tasking for splitters. It's out of stock until December 1st. I was going to get this, but got a new Evolution Kit for my Samsung instead. Reviews seem good, however I have no personal knowledge if it's good or not.

I apologize again for my OCDness.

I've noticed on the Pro that when I scroll through my tiles that it takes a second sometimes for them to display in full resolution. Is that normal? I don't remember my vanilla doing that.

Anybody else see this? Little thing, but it's bugging me.

Forgive me for my confusion regarding the PS4 Pro....But I have a question....

In a past PS4 patch, we had HDR as an option now for our 'launch version' PS4s....

Does that mean if I have a 4K tv, that I don't need to purchase a PS4 pro to get 4k since it is now an option on our 'launch version' PS4s? Any info would help...and may save me a couple of hundred dollars.

HDR refers to an increase in color range, not resolution, but is a feature of good 4k tvs. Good question and speaks to how confusing all of this is.

You're out of luck there because it's just the HDR feature, not 4K and from what folks have said, the HDR on the regular PS4 is nowhere near as good or glorious as the PS4 Pro.

So I'd say the HDR on the regular PS4 is some sort of simulated type HDR that is not real HDR like you'd get on the Pro but perhaps someone who is more knowledgeable could explain just what the regular PS4 HDR feature really is....

This is awesome if it will do the HDMI 2.1 spec, but something tells me this was made before knowledge of its integration. I also doubt it decrypts the HDCP chipset.

Otherwise I would pull the trigger on it immediately and get a new receiver alongside it.

PS4 Pro is mine, but unfortunately I've got to make it through work tonight before I can set it up.

I did read that it'll be able to transfer game installations over, and that's huge. Hopefully the database rebuild failure didn't do anything that will foul up that process - I already got a notification before playing WWE today that it couldn't access the accelerator DLC I purchased last night (until I re-downloaded it). Can't think of anything I did other than the rebuild that would have caused that. WWE itself is still working fine.
