Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Have to give credit where credit is due. No idea what changed between when I got the Pro and this last week, but my download speeds have been a terrific 150-180 mb/s with a line supplying 200ish. That's awesome when just a few weeks ago I was getting 25-50 mb/s. Happy with this improvement.

I meant to come in here and say the same thing. I've complained a few times on this forum and a few others about not being able to share play. I got the Pro and it's finally working again. Not only is it working but I'm getting the max speed when I do the share play test. I'm not sure if it's the Pro that fixed it or the latest firmware update but I'm happy with whatever they did.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Its your fault lol. But really I thought it was going to be a mid to late 2017 game but with it now not being shown this weekend I think it is going to be 2018 now but we don't know that yet. While we didn't know if Insomniac was going to be at the show or not before today. Yes they are a good developer but we didn't don't really know how far into development the game is. I am sure we are going to see it at E3 by then it will have been a year. But it also sucks when a game is shown and then gets nothing for a year. If a game first gets shown a long time before it comes out I think it is better to get updates often even if it is not that close to coming out then to just get a update when it is close after getting nothing for like a year.
I would say that Insomniac is maybe about eight months into development. It would have to be from around the time, all the rumors were going around about Marvel wanting their licenses to get better treatment in regards to gaming instead of being cheap rushed and crappy games.
I will probably be 15 months into development by the time E3 2017 rolls around and that's fine by me because what they'll show 15 months later will be better than what they would show in 8 months.
Either way, the game should be good or better.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I don't like it when games are shown early at all but when it happens (which from Sony is way too often), I would much rather wait a year or longer before seeing it again especially gameplay wise because the longer the wait, the better the gameplay trailer should be.

I don't like it when games are shown to early either but when a game is shown real early and then has no updates for a long time that just makes things worse. If a game is going to be shown real early then I want to at least get updates ever 4-5 months or so not a year. That is one of the things that has been so hard about the new Zelda game. It was first shown and then nothing was shown or said for like a year and even then it was a small update for like a year and didn't get real info for like 1.5 years.
About how long it has been in development I forget where I saw it but I heard they started developing it before Ratchet and clank came out and that was like 8 months ago and I heard they started working on it late last year. So even if it was the very end of last year that would mean it has been almost a year now. So it has been longer then 8 months. So if they do show it at E3 by then it will have been at least a year and 6-7 months.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Yes KS8000 but what I am saying is a lot of people said that HDR on the normal ps4 is not that good and that it is much better on the pro and I don't have a pro and so I tried HDR on the normal ps4 and like a lot of people said the HDR on the normal ps4 is not that great. My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Anyone know if a SONY X700D is a good match with a PS4 PRO? Is the HDR on it good enough?

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
So I guess I am going to have to rebuy batman Arkham knight. I tried to install the game again and still I keep getting the disk cant be read even though the disk looks just fine. Really annoying I wanted to start playing this game again and wanted to see what it looks like on this new tv. I don't know why it is doing this. This is the first time I have ever had a game on any system that stopped working like this.Comment

I am not sure if I did the HDR or not I don't think I did. You have to have the HDR color setting on right?Comment

I ended up deleting everything. Loaded the disk in and it installed. I then waited for the update and all was well.
Have no idea if that was just a fluke or what as you'd think that wouldn't cause a disk read error... but it worked.

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
The only time this has happened to me (Disk looked fine etc but wouldn't load) was when an update was downloading and I started a game (or something like that)..

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
That happened to me when 2K17 first released and I still had my vanilla PS4. I returned the disc for another copy, same thing. It was my hdd that was failing.
Got rid of it then bought a slim and eventually a pro as well.
Obviously the solution doesn't have to be as drastic as mine was. You can always buy a new hdd if that ends up being the cause of the issue.Comment

Hdr for gaming!
This is bugged, you will have to manually up the backlight to 20 for hdr game content in gaming mode and back to 5-10 when you are done. Hopefully we get a fix soon
Set dynamic contrast to off. This can vary by preference. Off gives best range and detail.
Smart led is reccomended to be on high for hdr.
Your TV will post a message when it's in HDR (mine does anyway). The only thing I changed for mine is dynamic contrast to medium instead of off. Turn in on and even set it to high if you want a brighter picture.
